Hagerty's internships appear without warning and disappear fast. The collector-car insurer doesn't run a campus program: individual teams post one-off intern roles between late December and early June, and the five we traced over the last two seasons stayed up for 3 to 13 days each, according to Built In's copies of the postings. Its actuarial intern role was up for three days around New Year 2026. On October 5, 2026 Hagerty's Workday board listed 14 jobs and no internships. In plain words: you watch the board from December 2026, apply within days of a posting, and intern in summer 2027.
Recent roles covered actuarial, public relations, internal communications, IT operations and its Broad Arrow auction house, and several were open to remote work anywhere in the US.
What Is a Hagerty Internship?
A Hagerty internship is a one-off, team-owned role at Hagerty, Inc., the Traverse City, Michigan company built on insuring collector and enthusiast vehicles. There's no cohort or campus program: a team such as actuarial, communications, IT or the Broad Arrow auction house posts an intern role when it needs one. Hagerty traces its first company to 1984, went public on the NYSE in 2021, and reported 1,891 full-time employees, about 1.68 million policies in force and $1.46 billion in 2025 revenue in its 2025 annual report. It's not Hagerty Consulting, an unrelated emergency-management firm in Illinois.
When Do Hagerty Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Hagerty doesn't open a single wave. Each team posts its own intern role, and lead times run about one to five months: last cycle the actuarial role posted on December 30, 2025, public relations on February 28, 2026 for a May start, internal communications on May 18, and the Broad Arrow client advisory role on June 2 for a July start. Technical operations posted on April 16, 2025. So applications for summer 2027 are expected between about late December 2026 and early June 2027, one role at a time. What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Each Hagerty posting sets its own requirements. Across the five recent roles:
• Enrollment: a current student; the actuarial role wanted a bachelor's in actuarial science or a related field, and technical operations a degree in IT, computer science or similar.
• Location: most recent roles were open to remote work anywhere in the US. Anyone within 20 miles of Traverse City works hybrid, three office days a week. Technical operations was on-site in Traverse City and Broad Arrow in Los Angeles.
• Car culture: the PR, internal communications and Broad Arrow postings ask for interest in, or openness to, classic and enthusiast vehicles.
• GPA, exams and work authorization: none of the five postings states a GPA floor, an actuarial exam requirement or a sponsorship policy.
• Schedule: not every role is a full-time summer job; internal communications was part-time from July to December.
Is There a GPA Cutoff at Hagerty?
