How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

Timing is everything at Progressive because they post roles on a rolling basis starting in the fall, and positions can fill before the December 31 soft deadline. In the 2022 cycle, only about 80 intern seats were available across all tracks. Applying in the first week a role appears gives you the best shot before seats are claimed. Joining the College Talent Network now ensures you see new postings the moment they go live.

Graduation timing: The Accounting track targets students graduating within one year of completing the internship. Other tracks do not state a specific class-year gate.

Does Progressive Have a GPA Cutoff for Interns?

No GPA minimum appears on any Progressive internship page, the Ohio5 partnership listing, or the NACE article about their hiring process. Progressive’s recruiting manager emphasized passion for subject matter, learning agility, and problem-solving over academic credentials. That said, a strong GPA never hurts, especially for the more quantitative accounting or data and analytics tracks.

How Do You Stand Out at Progressive?

First, join the College Talent Network today so you are notified the moment summer 2027 postings go live. Progressive posts roles on a rolling basis and fills them as strong candidates apply, so being in the first wave of applicants matters more than at companies with a fixed deadline. Second, prepare five or six polished STAR stories now. Progressive uses Targeted Selection, DDI’s behavioral interview model, and their own careers site provides video examples of strong versus weak STAR answers.
