The mapper reads what students are actually asked to do and returns three things:
- the NACE career readiness competencies the work builds, with the words in the text that count as evidence
- a one-sentence competency statement for the syllabus or job posting
- a draft four-level rubric, two or three observable dimensions per competency, for the instructor or supervisor to edit
It runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is stored or sent anywhere.
Use it as is. Nothing is held back.
What you see above is the whole output. Copy the sentence into the syllabus, hand the rubric to the instructor or supervisor, done. No download, no account.
The kit is for the next step: mapping a whole catalog, with AI doing the repetitive part, and showing faculty and the provost how the results were reached. Free, same as the tool:
| Method document | How a course earns Strong, Moderate or Light, the signal words behind it, and a minimum viable assessment plan for one term. This is what you hand a skeptical faculty member. |
| Rubric library | All eight competencies, 23 observable dimensions, four levels each, with reflection prompts for students. The tool shows you two or three; the library has the rest. |
| Coverage Map (Google Sheet) | Where the per-course results go. One row per course or job; the sheet shows which competencies have no Strong source and where no one outside the university evaluates the work. |
| Prompt and Claude skill | Run the same method on the whole course list in ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude, and paste the summary table straight into the Coverage Map. |
