Last updated: October 2026
Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CACIB) is hiring Summer Analyst interns in New York, and 12 summer 2027 postings were live on its own job site when we rechecked on October 25, 2026, up from six on October 17. Each is a 10-week New York program, most start June 7, 2027, and all 12 state $48.08 an hour. The newest, six Energy and Real Assets postings, carry October 20 and 21 update dates. None of the postings gives a closing date, and every one requires that you won't need visa sponsorship now or in the future, including F-1, OPT and CPT. In plain words: you apply during 2026, you intern in summer 2027.
What Is a Crédit Agricole Internship?
A Crédit Agricole internship in the US is a 10-week Summer Analyst program at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank's Americas office in New York. CACIB is the corporate and investment banking arm of the Crédit Agricole Group, which its postings call the 10th largest banking group in the world by balance sheet. The bank says it hosts 800 interns every year worldwide. In New York, the summer 2027 postings cover investment banking (ECM and M&A, US corporates and sponsors, sustainable banking), CLF (credit-focused teams), global markets, and energy and real assets. The postings describe a team-based program with mentorship, training, speaker events and a formal evaluation. Group affiliates such as Amundi and CA Indosuez, and the bank's London, Hong Kong and Paris internships, are outside this guide.

When Do Crédit Agricole Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Crédit Agricole's summer 2027 wave has been building since early September. The earliest posting we checked carries a September 3, 2026 update date, about 9 months before the June 7, 2027 start. Six more postings, all Energy and Real Assets, appeared with October 20 and 21 update dates after our October 17 check, about 7.5 months before the start. The bank publishes no closing date, so the window is open until it stops adding and filling seats. We couldn't find a dated earlier US cycle, so the summer 2028 timing is a projection from this one: expect postings from about September 2027, with low confidence.
Twelve New York summer 2027 postings are live, and the newest were updated October 20 and 21. None states a deadline. Pick the team that fits your degree and apply now.
More postings may still appear, as the Energy and Real Assets set did in the third week of October. Set an alert on the job site and keep your resume tailored to credit, markets or banking.
Interviews and offers. Crédit Agricole doesn't publish a US interview calendar, so watch your email and the job site.
Summer 2027 interns start on June 7 for 10 weeks in New York. The Energy and Real Assets postings say successful interns are considered for conversion to full-time US Analyst roles after graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
Summer 2028 postings are expected to begin around now, based on this cycle's September start. Treat that as a low-confidence projection.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
The bank's own postings list no closing date, and it was still adding postings on October 20 and 21, which fits a rolling process. Job boards that show October apply-by dates aren't showing the bank's dates, so don't treat them as a closed door. Apply now anyway: the postings are separate, each team runs its own selection, and the bank doesn't say how long any of them stays open. Pick carefully, too, because the Sustainable Investment Banking posting accepts only sustainability-focused degrees and the Global Markets posting asks for a 3.5 GPA.
Which Crédit Agricole Internship Programs Should You Target?
The 12 postings fall into six groups. Each has its own team, requirements and hiring manager.
| Track | Focus | Duration | Key details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Global Investment Banking: ECM and M&A | Live transactions, pitch books and models across equity capital markets and M&A | 10 weeks, from Jun 7, 2027 | Graduating Dec 2027 to May 2028; $48.08/hr |
| US Corporates and Financial Sponsors | Client relationship support for coverage bankers; aims to develop interns into US Analysts | 10 weeks | 3.5 GPA preferred; $48.08/hr |
| Sustainable Investment Banking | ESG and sustainable finance advisory and transactions | 10 weeks | Sustainability-focused degrees only; 3.2 minimum GPA |
| Corporate and Leveraged Finance (plus Fund Solutions Group North America) | Credit analysis, closing memos, market comparables, fund financing | 10 weeks | Two postings; $48.08/hr |
| Global Markets Division | Sales, trading, structuring, primary credit, securitization, repo and indexing | 10 weeks, Jun to Aug 2027 | 3.5 minimum GPA; full 10 weeks required |
| Energy and Real Assets (six postings) | Project financings: advisory, shipping and intermodal, structured finance and transportation, Latin America, North America, real estate | 10 weeks, Jun to Aug 2027 | Updated Oct 20 to 21; 0 to 1 years of finance experience |

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Every posting is strict on one point and varies on the rest.
• Work authorization: you must be eligible to work in the US and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future, with F-1, OPT and CPT named as excluded.
• Class year: the ECM and M&A posting asks for the penultimate year of undergraduate studies. The postings give expected graduation windows from December 2027 to May or June 2028.
• GPA: a 3.5 minimum for Global Markets and a 3.2 minimum for Sustainable Investment Banking. US Corporates and Financial Sponsors lists 3.5 as preferred. The other postings state none.
• Major: finance or business for most teams. Sustainable Investment Banking accepts only sustainability-related degrees such as environmental science, sustainability or environmental engineering.
• Experience: the Energy and Real Assets postings ask for 0 to 1 years of finance experience; a prior internship is preferred.
• Location: New York, in the office five days a week.

Is the GPA a Hard Cutoff?
It depends on the team. Global Markets and Sustainable Investment Banking say "minimum," and US Corporates and Financial Sponsors says "preferred." Most other postings list no number. The bank doesn't say how strictly it enforces any of them, so don't self-reject if you're a little under on a team that lists none.

Could You Get In at Crédit Agricole? Compare Your Profile
Based on 543 investment banking summer analysts at top investment banks from the classes of 2025 and 2026 (public LinkedIn profiles, aggregated). Six questions, under a minute.
Which summer are you applying for?
Recruiting timelines differ by class year, so we compare you with the right group.
Which group is your school closest to?
Firms recruit on campus in tiers. We match you against admits from schools like yours.
Is your major finance, economics, accounting or business?
Math and statistics count too. Major is not a hard filter, but it shifts how much your coursework has to prove.
How many internships, externships or research positions have you held so far?
Count anything with a real employer, mentor or principal investigator attached. Retail and food service do not count.
Has any of that experience been finance-related?
Banking, PE or VC, corporate finance, wealth management, equity research, accounting or consulting. Any size of firm counts.
Are you in a finance club, investment fund or case competition team?
Campus clubs are how most admits get their first deal and modelling reps.

What Skills Does Crédit Agricole Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
Excel and financial modelling run through almost every posting. The credit-focused teams add credit analysis, ratings and comparables, the coverage and markets teams add pitch books and presentations, and the Energy and Real Assets postings add KYC, compliance and portfolio-monitoring support. Several postings recommend the Bloomberg terminal as a plus. The Sustainable Investment Banking posting is the outlier, naming SBTi, TPI benchmarks and climate scenario models.

Method: full-text keyword count across the 12 New York summer 2027 postings on Crédit Agricole CIB's job site on October 25, 2026. Six of the 12 are Energy and Real Assets postings that share one template, so the modelling, KYC and credit counts lean on that group. Counts are text matches, not rankings of importance.

Build These Skills Before You Apply
Each skill in the chart maps to a remote Externship you can finish while postings are still open.
| Skill (from real JDs) | JD evidence | Externship that builds it |
|---|---|---|
| Financial modelling and valuation | Energy and Real Assets: "Conduct financial modeling and valuation analyses under supervision"; ECM and M&A: models and pitch books | Attronica FP&A and Private Company Valuation |
| Deal screening and capital markets knowledge | Global Markets Division: "market monitoring and comparable transaction research" | Mangusta Capital Deal Sourcing & Startup Analysis |
| Market and comparables research | Corporate and Leveraged Finance: "maintenance of databases and market comparables" | HP Tech Ventures Deal Sourcing & Startup Analysis |
The overlap is closest on the investing side: a finished screening or modelling project gives you something concrete when an interviewer asks how you'd approach a comparable or a credit.
What Is the Crédit Agricole Application and Interview Process Like?
Crédit Agricole CIB doesn't publish its US interview stages. This is what the postings state:
1. Apply on the bank's job site. Pick the posting that fits your degree; the Sustainable Investment Banking posting accepts only sustainability-focused majors.
2. Confirm your work authorization. Every posting excludes candidates who need sponsorship now or in the future.
3. Expect a team-specific screen. Interview rounds and formats aren't published, so we haven't described any.
4. Train and work on the desk. The CLF posting describes one structured week of technical training, desk work, networking events and a formal evaluation process.
5. Aim for the return offer. The Energy and Real Assets postings say successful interns are considered for conversion to full-time US Analyst roles after graduation.
The bank doesn't publish a conversion rate, so the return-offer line is intent, not a statistic.
What Students on Reddit Say
We found no first-hand report from a US Crédit Agricole summer analyst. These two older threads give context on the bank's US profile and why VIE postings appear, so read them as background only.
In a July 2024 r/FinancialCareers thread asking how Crédit Agricole CIB compares as a US bank, one commenter called its US investment banking presence very small, well behind the regional middle-market banks. Another said its strength is trade and export finance, with income coming mainly from EMEA and APAC.
A March 2018 thread asked why Crédit Agricole job boards show mostly VIE postings. Commenters explained that VIE is a French government-funded program for young European nationals, separate from the bank's own hiring, which is why US readers see those postings. They aren't US summer analyst roles.
How Do You Stand Out for a Crédit Agricole Internship?
First, match the team to your background and say so. The bank screens by degree, not just by interest: Sustainable Investment Banking won't consider finance-only candidates without sustainability experience. Second, bring modelling you've actually built. Excel and financial modelling appear in most of the 12 postings, so a finished valuation or credit exercise is stronger than a list of skills. Third, know the bank's niche. CACIB is a corporate and investment bank, and its energy, shipping and real-assets postings reward candidates who can discuss project and asset finance. The bank doesn't publish class size, applicant counts or a conversion rate, so we won't estimate them.

FAQ
Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Crédit Agricole internship?
No. Summer 2026 programs ran June to August 2026 and are over. What's open now are 12 New York summer 2027 postings, each a 10-week Summer Analyst program starting around June 7, 2027. None states a closing date, and summer 2028 postings are expected from about September 2027.
When do Crédit Agricole summer 2027 internship applications open?
They're open now. The postings carry update dates from September 3 to October 21, 2026, and six Energy and Real Assets postings appeared after October 17. An update date is a last-edited stamp rather than a confirmed opening date. Expect summer 2028 postings from about September 2027, with low confidence.
Are Crédit Agricole internships rolling?
Probably. None of the 12 postings gives a closing date, and the bank was still adding postings on October 20 and 21. It doesn't confirm rolling review, and job boards that show October apply-by dates aren't quoting the bank. Apply as soon as you've picked a team.
How much does Crédit Agricole CIB pay interns?
All 12 New York summer 2027 postings state $48.08 per hour. The bank doesn't state weekly hours in the postings we read, so we haven't converted that to a total. Housing and relocation support aren't mentioned. Ignore hourly figures from job boards that don't match the bank's own postings.
Who is eligible for the Crédit Agricole CIB internship?
Students graduating between December 2027 and May or June 2028, depending on the posting, who can work in the US without sponsorship. ECM and M&A specifies the penultimate year. GPA floors are 3.5 for Global Markets and 3.2 for Sustainable Investment Banking, and 3.5 is preferred for US Corporates and Financial Sponsors.
Can international students apply for Crédit Agricole internships?
Not if you'd need sponsorship. Every posting requires that you won't need visa sponsorship now or in the future and names F-1, OPT and CPT as excluded. International students who already hold US work authorization without sponsorship, such as a green card or citizenship, can apply.
What teams hire summer interns at Crédit Agricole CIB in New York?
Global Investment Banking (ECM and M&A), US Corporates and Financial Sponsors, Sustainable Investment Banking, CLF (the credit-focused teams), the Fund Solutions Group, the Global Markets Division, and six Energy and Real Assets teams covering advisory, shipping, structured finance, Latin America, North America and real estate.
Do Crédit Agricole CIB interns get full-time offers?
The Energy and Real Assets postings say successful interns are considered for conversion to full-time US Analyst roles after graduation, and the US Corporates posting aims to develop interns into Coverage Analysts. The bank publishes no US conversion rate, so any percentage you see elsewhere is unverified.
Apply to the New York team that matches your degree now, since none of the postings lists a deadline. While you wait, a remote Externship gives you a finished modelling or deal-screening project to bring to the interview.
