To work in the Flyers' front office as a student, you apply to Comcast Spectacor, the Flyers' parent company, not to the team. On 17 October 2026 its TeamWork Online board listed ten openings, and exactly one is internship-type: a Community Relations Girls Hockey Fellowship that prints a base pay of $20.00, runs for the 2026-27 Flyers season, and needs extensive girls-hockey experience. Everything else is closed. Here's the cycle in plain words: Spectacor posts student roles one at a time in windows of one to four weeks, so you apply around March to May 2027 for a summer 2027 role and around July to August 2027 for fall, and each posting prints a base pay.

Spectacor's student postings ask for Excel and Word, email and campaign copy, and database work, so a finished project helps. Externships are short, remote programs where you complete a real project for a real company, most commonly over 8 weeks. The Beats by Dre Creative Advertising Strategy Externship fits the marketing and video roles, and the Breaking Games E-Commerce Data Analysis & Strategy Externship fits the group sales and database work. What Is a Philadelphia Flyers Internship?

A Philadelphia Flyers internship is a paid student role in the front office of the NHL team, but the employer is Comcast Spectacor, the Flyers' parent company, which also runs Xfinity Mobile Arena and T1 Entertainment & Sports. Spectacor files its postings under its own name on TeamWork Online and Comcast's careers site, so you search for Comcast Spectacor. There's no named program. It posts student roles one at a time: marketing, group sales, video production, community relations and corporate partnerships have all appeared. Some roles serve the arena or all of Spectacor rather than the Flyers alone, and sister teams such as the Philadelphia Wings post separately; we don't count those as Flyers roles.

When Do Philadelphia Flyers Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

Comcast Spectacor posts student roles one at a time, in short windows, rather than as one class. In 2026 the Flyers and arena roles were Group Sales (30 March to 10 April, then 4 to 11 August), Marketing (14 July to 12 August) and Video Production (26 August to 12 September). In 2025 the Community Relations Intern ran 30 July to 20 August for the whole 2025-26 season, and in 2024 Corporate Partnerships ran 13 July to 2 August. Marketing posted on 14 July for a late-August start, a lead of about 1.5 months. Going by the 2023 to 2026 postings, summer roles are expected around March to May 2027 and fall roles around July to August 2027, with moderate confidence.

TeamWork Online lists the Community Relations Girls Hockey Fellowship as open (posted 22 September 2026, Apply Now button live). The posting says its window is 30 days from the posting date unless applicant numbers close it sooner or later, which points to about 22 October, though TeamWork prints 22 December. Comcast's own site search didn't return it on 17 October, so confirm before investing time. The 2026 Group Sales, Marketing and Video roles all closed between 10 April and 12 September.

Build proof for the spring window: the Beats by Dre Creative Advertising Strategy Externship for marketing and video, or the Breaking Games E-Commerce Data Analysis & Strategy Externship for sales data.

Prepare: Excel and Word for group sales, a portfolio or demo reel for video (encouraged, not required), and a TeamWork alert on Comcast Spectacor.

~March to May 2027EXPECTEDSHORT WINDOW — APPLY WEEK 1

Summer 2027 student roles are expected in this stretch. In 2026 Group Sales posted on 30 March and closed on 10 April; in 2024 Accounting ran 13 March to 12 April and Human Resources 15 May to 14 June.

~July to September 2027EXPECTEDSHORT WINDOW — APPLY WEEK 1

Fall and season-long roles are expected. Marketing posted 14 July 2026, Community Relations 30 July 2025 and Corporate Partnerships 13 July 2024.

Fall 2027 to spring 2028

The 2026 Marketing internship ran late August to mid-December with a possible spring extension, and the Community Relations role covered the full season. Expect the same shapes for 2027-28.

How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

Spectacor puts one sentence in each posting: the application window is 30 days from the date it's posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later. In practice the 2026 student roles stayed open 7 to 29 days: Group Sales 7 in August, Video 17, Marketing 29. Treat it as a short window, not a rolling pool. For the fellowship, the 30-day rule points to about 22 October 2026, while TeamWork prints 22 December, so confirm on the posting. For other roles, apply in the first week they appear.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

Most Spectacor student postings share one rule, and the fellowship breaks it:

• Class year: college juniors, seniors or graduate students on the postings we read that state one (Marketing, Group Sales, Community Relations, Corporate Partnerships); law students for Legal.

• Girls Hockey Fellowship: no enrollment requirement printed, but candidates must have "extensive on-ice and off-ice hockey experience in girls hockey" (participation, coaching or management) and 0 to 2 years of work experience.

• Hours: evenings, weekends and game nights on most roles; the fellowship is about 30 to 35 hours a week and Marketing 30 to 40.

• Housing and transportation: the Community Relations postings make these the intern's responsibility, and the 2025 internship required a vehicle and lifting 30 to 50 pounds.

• GPA and work authorization: not stated in the postings we read.

Can You Apply to the Fellowship Without Playing Hockey?

Realistically no. The posting's only hard requirement is extensive girls-hockey experience, and it counts coaching or management as well as playing. If you've coached youth hockey or run a program, you qualify on paper. If you haven't, put your effort into the spring and summer student roles, which ask for a class year and basic tools instead.

What Skills Do the Philadelphia Flyers Look For, and How Do You Build Them?

Across the nine Comcast Spectacor student postings we read in full (2024 to 2026), the shared asks are about availability and basics. Availability: eight of nine mention nights, evenings, weekends or game nights. Enrollment: seven name students, usually juniors, seniors or graduate students. Data and tools: five include database, CRM or data work, and three name Microsoft Office or Excel. Communication and organization: four ask for excellent communication skills and three for organization and meeting deadlines.

Build These Skills Before You Apply

Windows of one to four weeks leave little time to prepare after a posting appears, so finish the project first and mention it in your application.

What Is the Philadelphia Flyers Application and Interview Process Like?

Comcast Spectacor doesn't publish an interview format. This is what its postings and careers sites show:

1. Search Comcast Spectacor. On TeamWork Online or Comcast's careers site filtered to Spectacor, not "Philadelphia Flyers".

2. Finish the follow-up screen. After you click Apply Now you're redirected, and the posting says you must fully complete the application on the follow-up screen to be considered.

3. Add your work. Video applicants are encouraged to include a portfolio or demo reel; it isn't required.

4. Interview. Spectacor doesn't publish its stages.

5. Plan the logistics. Expect evenings, weekends and game nights; the Community Relations postings put housing and transportation on you.

What Students on Reddit Say

We found no Reddit thread from a Flyers or Comcast Spectacor intern, so this page has no community cards.

How Do You Stand Out for a Flyers Internship?

Three moves. First, search the employer, not the team: Comcast Spectacor posts the Flyers' student roles, so set your TeamWork alert there. Second, match the role's own ask. Group Sales wants Excel, Word and an interest in sales, Marketing wants email copy and data collection forms, and Community Relations wants organization and, for the fellowship, real girls-hockey experience. Third, be available for game nights: eight of the nine postings we read mention evenings, weekends or game nights. Spectacor doesn't publish an applicant count or a conversion rate, so ask what comes next once you're in.

FAQ

Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Philadelphia Flyers internship?

No. Comcast Spectacor's 2026 Flyers-related student postings (Group Sales, Marketing and Video Production) closed between 10 April and 12 September. The one open role is a girls hockey fellowship. Summer 2027 internships are expected around March to May 2027, so set a TeamWork alert for Comcast Spectacor.

Who hires interns for the Philadelphia Flyers?

Comcast Spectacor, the Flyers' parent company, posts the roles on TeamWork Online and its careers site, so search for Comcast Spectacor rather than the Flyers. Spectacor also runs Xfinity Mobile Arena and T1 Entertainment & Sports, so some internships serve the arena or the whole company instead of the Flyers alone.

When do Philadelphia Flyers summer 2027 internship applications open?

Expected around March to May 2027. Spectacor posted Group Sales on 30 March 2026 and had student roles up in spring in earlier years, but it publishes no calendar and its 2026 windows ran 7 to 29 days. Fall and season-long roles are expected around July to August 2027.

Is any Flyers internship open right now?

One fellowship, no internships. TeamWork Online lists the Community Relations Girls Hockey Fellowship, posted 22 September 2026, as open. Its 30-day rule points to about 22 October, though TeamWork prints 22 December, and Comcast's own site search didn't return it on 17 October, so confirm first. It needs extensive girls-hockey experience.

How much do Flyers interns make?

The postings print a base pay: $15.00 on the four 2026 intern postings we read, $10.00 on the 2025 Community Relations internship and $8.00 on 2024 roles, with $20.00 on the fellowship. Those figures may be template values rather than real pay, so confirm the rate on the live posting before you rely on it.

Who can apply for a Flyers internship?

College juniors, seniors or graduate students on the postings we read that state a class year, with law students for Legal. The Girls Hockey Fellowship has no enrollment rule but asks for extensive girls-hockey experience and 0 to 2 years of work experience. GPA and work authorization aren't stated.

Is the Flyers Next Shift program an internship?

No. Next Shift is a one-game shadowing experience for ages 18 to 24, with roles in areas such as marketing, communications, game presentation, sales, events, corporate partnerships and community relations. The Flyers describe it on their community page. It isn't an internship or a job, but it puts you alongside front-office staff for a game.

Do Flyers interns get full-time offers?

Comcast Spectacor doesn't publish a conversion rate or class size for its student roles. The postings describe internships and a fellowship and list Comcast's total rewards and benefits without promising a job. Treat the role as experience and a network, and ask about paths once you're working with the team.

Only a girls hockey fellowship is open now, and the summer 2027 student roles are expected around March to May. Set a TeamWork alert for Comcast Spectacor, and if you want a finished project to show, a remote Externship takes about 5 to 10 hours a week.
