Last updated: October 2026
Ignyte Group has a summer intern class, but it doesn't have a posting for it yet. On October 12, 2026, the firm's job board listed three openings in Washington, DC, and none was an internship. The proof that interns exist comes from the firm itself: in July 2025 it welcomed "the Summer Intern Class at Ignyte" in a public post, and in late May 2026 a student announced a place in the summer 2026 class.
That May date is the useful clue. It suggests Ignyte hires its interns in spring, a few months before they start, not the fall before. In plain words: for summer 2027, expect to apply during spring 2027, and expect to intern in summer 2027. The firm publishes no dates, pay or eligibility rules for the internship. If you're a senior, one door is open today: the full-time, entry-level Associate Consultant role, which takes fall 2026 and spring 2027 graduates.
What Is an Ignyte Group Internship?
An Ignyte Group internship is a summer role at a digital transformation consulting firm in the Washington, DC area that builds automation and low-code software, mostly on the Appian and ServiceNow platforms. The firm calls its interns the "Summer Intern Class". It doesn't publish a program page, so the length, tracks and pay aren't public. Its entry-level posting describes the clients as "ranging from government and health organizations to small businesses."
Ignyte Group was founded in 2014 and has about 140 employees, according to Vault. It ranks #39 on the Vault Consulting 50 for North America (2026 edition), and Vault's 2026 profile places it #1 among consulting firms for women and #1 for people of color. The firm's postings also cite 2026 partner awards from Appian and ServiceNow. Interns aren't all computer science majors: the student who announced a summer 2026 place was studying biomedical engineering.

When Do Ignyte Group Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Ignyte Group hasn't published an application window for its internship, and no intern posting from an earlier year could be recovered, so we can't measure a lead time in months. Two dated facts exist. The firm welcomed its 2025 intern class in a public post in early July 2025. And a student announced a place in the summer 2026 class in late May 2026, weeks before the summer began. Together they point to a late, short hiring cycle: applications for summer 2027 are expected in spring 2027. That's a low-confidence estimate from two data points. The entry-level Associate Consultant role runs on a different clock. It was open on October 12, 2026, and a senior on Reddit described applying in about early October 2025 and getting an interview invitation a month later.
Internship applications for summer 2027 aren't open, and no intern posting is on the board. Seniors graduating in fall 2026 or spring 2027 can apply to the full-time Associate Consultant role, which is live with no stated deadline.
Preparation months. Learn what Appian and ServiceNow do, since both vendors publish free learning material, and practice basic Java or Python and SQL, which the entry-level posting names.
The intern posting for summer 2027 is expected on the JazzHR board, based on a student's late May 2026 announcement of a summer 2026 place. Low confidence: check the board monthly from February.
The summer 2027 intern class in the DC area. The firm welcomed its 2025 class publicly in early July 2025. Length and dates aren't published.
Associate Consultant hiring for the next graduating class is expected again. A senior reported applying around early October 2025 and hearing back about a month later.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
We can't tell you Ignyte's internship is rolling or has a deadline, because the firm has never published a window and there's no posting to read. What the evidence does show is that the hiring happens late and close to the start date. A student announced a summer 2026 place in late May 2026. If the posting goes up in spring and the class starts within weeks, there isn't much time between seeing it and missing it.
So the advice here is about attention, not speed. Check the job board once a month from February 2027, and have a resume, an unofficial transcript and your GPA ready, since the firm's entry-level form asks for all three. For the Associate Consultant role, which is open today, the posting gives no closing date and accepts graduates from several terms, so earlier applicants are simply seen first.
Which Ignyte Group Internship Programs Should You Target?
Ignyte's job board is short. One role is for students, and the internship isn't on it yet.
| Role | Who it's for | Location | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summer Intern Class | Not published; the 2026 class included a biomedical engineering student | DC area | Not posted. Summer 2027: expected spring 2027 (low confidence) |
| Associate Consultant (full-time, entry level) | Seniors graduating fall 2026 or spring 2027, or spring and summer 2026 graduates, with a technical or business degree | Washington, DC | Open on Oct 12, 2026; no deadline or pay range stated |
| Appian Technology Consultant | People with one to three years of Appian experience | Washington, DC | Open; not a student role |
| Senior Appian Consultant | People with three or more years on Appian or a similar platform | Washington, DC | Open; not a student role |
All openings are on the Ignyte Group job board. The firm's join page also gives a careers email address for questions.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Ignyte publishes no eligibility rules for interns. The rules below are from the live Associate Consultant posting and its application form, the nearest guide to what the firm wants from students:
• Class year: "College senior graduating in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 or graduated in Spring and Summer 2026 from a four-year college or university."
• Degree: a "technical degree (information systems/technology, engineering, computer science, business, or related field)."
• Experience: "1-2 summers' internship experience in a similar business or technical role."
• Technical skills: "Basic proficiency in programming languages including but not limited to C++, Java, and/or Python" and "knowledge of SQL."
• GPA and transcript: the form requires both; no minimum is stated.
• Work status: the form offers three choices: US citizen, permanent resident, or non-citizen allowed to work for any employer. It says nothing about sponsorship.

Do You Need to Be a Computer Science Major?
No. The Associate Consultant posting lists business alongside information systems, engineering and computer science, and the summer 2026 intern we found was a biomedical engineering student. The job itself sits between code and clients. A computer science senior who was invited to interview wrote on Reddit that the role seemed less technical than the software engineering job they'd expected. The posting asks for basic programming and SQL, and it lists low-code experience on Appian, ServiceNow or Databricks as a plus, not a requirement. The form also asks whether you live in the DC area or will relocate.

What Skills Does Ignyte Group Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
There's no intern posting, so we read all three live Ignyte postings: Associate Consultant, Appian Technology Consultant and Senior Appian Consultant. Every one involves building on Appian or another low-code platform, gathering and analyzing requirements and creating "presentations, models, analyses, and other deliverables" to present to clients. The entry-level posting adds what a new graduate should bring: basic programming in C++, Java or Python, SQL, and strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word. What Is the Ignyte Group Application and Interview Process Like?
Ignyte doesn't publish an interview process. This is what the application form, Vault's staff survey and one Reddit post show:
1. Apply on the JazzHR board. Open the role from the job board and apply there.
2. Fill in the form. For the entry-level role it asks for a resume, your college, GPA, graduation date, earliest start date, work status, a salary expectation and an unofficial transcript.
3. Answer one short prompt. "In 150 characters or fewer, tell us what makes you unique." Draft it before you open the form.
4. Technical interview. A staff member told Vault the firm moves quickly to schedule a technical interview and follows up within about a day of the interviewers' recommendations.
5. Timing. A senior on Reddit reported an interview invitation about a month after applying in fall 2025.
Expect questions on both sides of the job: a little code or SQL, and how you'd explain a system to a client. Our behavioral interview guide covers the second half.
What the Community Says
No Reddit thread covers the Ignyte internship itself. One thread covers the entry-level interview, and Vault's 2026 staff survey fills in the rest.
A senior computer science student applied to several firms and about a month later got an Ignyte interview invitation for Associate Consultant. They'd expected a pure software engineering job and found the role looked less technical.
A staff member said the firm schedules a technical interview quickly and tells candidates where they stand within about a day. The ideal hire is curious, hardworking and not afraid to try new things or make mistakes.
One respondent said they'd learned more at Ignyte than in the rest of their career combined.
How Do You Stand Out for an Ignyte Group Internship?
Three moves. First, learn the platforms. Ignyte's awards come from Appian and ServiceNow, and every live posting involves Appian. Work through a vendor's free beginner material and build one small workflow app, so you can say what low-code is from experience. Second, bring basic code and SQL, plus a way to explain them. The entry-level posting asks for C++, Java or Python and for SQL, and it also wants people who can present to clients. Practice describing a project to someone who doesn't write code. Third, be ready before the posting appears. Keep your transcript, GPA and a 150-character answer to "what makes you unique" on hand, and check the board monthly from February 2027. Ignyte publishes no class size, applicant count or return-offer rate, so we can't give you the odds.

FAQ
Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Ignyte Group internship?
No, the summer 2026 class has finished. For summer 2027, Ignyte hasn't posted an internship yet: its board showed three openings and no intern role on October 12, 2026. The evidence points to a spring 2027 posting. Seniors can apply today to the full-time Associate Consultant role for fall 2026 and spring 2027 graduates.
Does Ignyte Group have internships?
Yes. Ignyte Group has a summer intern class in the Washington, DC area. The firm welcomed its 2025 class in a public post in July 2025, and a student announced a summer 2026 place in late May 2026. There's no program page, and the firm doesn't publish the length, pay or number of interns.
When do Ignyte Group internship applications open for summer 2027?
No date is published. The one dated hiring signal is a student's announcement of a summer 2026 place in late May 2026, which points to spring hiring. For summer 2027, expect a posting in spring 2027 and check the firm's JazzHR board monthly from February. Treat that as a low-confidence estimate.
What can I apply to at Ignyte Group right now?
If you're a senior, the entry-level Associate Consultant role. It was live on October 12, 2026 for students graduating in fall 2026 or spring 2027 and for spring and summer 2026 graduates, with no stated deadline. The other two openings, Appian Technology Consultant and Senior Appian Consultant, are for experienced hires.
What does the Associate Consultant role require?
A technical or business degree, one or two summers of internship experience, basic programming in C++, Java or Python, familiarity with SQL and analytics software, and strong presentation skills. Low-code experience on Appian, ServiceNow or Databricks is a plus. The application form also asks for your GPA and an unofficial transcript.
How much does Ignyte Group pay interns?
Ignyte Group doesn't publish intern pay, and there's no intern posting that could carry a range. The entry-level Associate Consultant posting states no salary either; its form asks you for a salary expectation instead. Any figure you see on a salary site is that site's estimate, so ask the recruiter directly.
Where is the Ignyte Group internship located?
In the Washington, DC area. The firm's office is in McLean, Virginia, and every posting on its board lists Washington, DC. The careers page describes a hybrid work environment, and the entry-level application form asks whether you live in the DC area or are willing to relocate. We found no remote internship.
Does Ignyte Group sponsor visas?
The firm doesn't say. Its entry-level application form offers three work-status choices: US citizen, permanent resident, or non-citizen allowed to work for any employer. It makes no statement about sponsorship. Much of Ignyte's work is for government clients, so international students should ask the recruiter before investing time in the application.
Ignyte's intern posting is expected in spring 2027, and its entry-level role wants internship experience. Use the months in between: a remote Externship gives you a finished automation or analytics project to bring to the technical interview.
