Last updated: October 2026

Forrester has an internship program page and, right now, no internships. On October 12, 2026, the research and advisory firm's Workday job board listed six open jobs worldwide, and none was an internship. The Job Opportunities block on its internship program page reads "Please check back soon for updates," and archived copies of that page show the same line at every check since September 2024.

Internships at Forrester are real, though. Two US intern postings were listed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in May 2024, and the program page quotes three past interns. One of them built a prototype that became a client product. So this page tells you what existed, what Forrester doesn't publish, and where a posting would appear. In plain words: nothing is posted for summer 2027, and when Forrester has posted, the roles appeared in spring for that same summer.

What Is a Forrester Internship?

A Forrester internship is a placement on one team at Forrester, the technology research and advisory firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It isn't a large cohort program with fixed tracks. Forrester's internship program page promises that "you'll gain real-life work experience and develop the skills and network needed to start your career," and names three things it offers interns: hands-on work in your field, networking and soft skills, and planned programming with "consistent benchmarks."

The page's strongest evidence is a past data science intern, who describes having "built a proof of concept for a generative AI chatbot that allowed users to converse with Forrester's research," and says the architecture was later "adapted and transformed into Forrester's client-facing genAI tool, Izola." Forrester ranks #40 on Vault's 2026 most prestigious consulting firms list, up from #44 in 2025. What it doesn't publish for interns: dates, eligibility, pay, class size or how often roles open.

When Do Forrester Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

There's no announced window, so this section shows the record instead of a schedule. May 22, 2024 (documented): an archived copy of Forrester's internship program page listed two openings in Cambridge, Massachusetts: a North America Field Marketing Intern and a Graphic Design Intern. Both postings existed on Forrester's Workday system and are now closed. September 2024 to June 2026 (documented): seven archived copies of the same page all show "Please check back soon for updates." We found no intern posting for summer 2025 or summer 2026. The page is edited by hand, so an empty block doesn't prove nobody interned in those years.

Summer 2027 (expected, low confidence): the 2024 postings were open in late May for that same summer. If Forrester posts for summer 2027, expect it in spring 2027, only weeks before the start. A fall 2026 search will come up empty.

Now · October 2026YOU ARE HERE

Applications for summer 2027 aren't open. Forrester's job board lists six roles, all regular positions, and no internship. The program page says "Please check back soon for updates."

November 2026 to February 2027

No Forrester posting is expected in this stretch. Other research and advisory firms recruit on their own calendars, some of them in the fall, so keep those applications moving and don't wait on Forrester.

March to May 2027EXPECTED

If Forrester posts internships for summer 2027, this is the expected window. It rests on one dated record: two postings live on May 22, 2024 for summer 2024. Check the job board and program page every week or two.

Within weeks of a postingEXPECTED

Forrester's published process for all roles is a recruiter call, a hiring manager call and behavioral team interviews. With a spring posting for a summer 2027 start, those steps would have to move fast.

Summer 2027

The internship itself, if roles are posted. Dates and length aren't published; the two 2024 postings were in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the program page describes hybrid work.

How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

With Forrester the risk isn't a deadline you miss. It's a posting you never see. The firm has listed no internship on its own program page since at least September 2024, its whole job board is six roles, and the only dated openings on record were live in late May for a summer start. No requisition is available to read, so we can't tell you whether applications are rolling or dated, and we won't guess.

What the record supports is this: openings are rare, they're tied to one team each, and they appear close to the start date. If a role shows up in spring 2027, the time between posting and first day may be a month or two. Apply the week you see it. And because there may be no posting at all, treat Forrester as one option among several, not the plan.

Which Forrester Internship Programs Should You Target?

Forrester hires interns into individual teams. These are the roles on record; none is posted today.

The intern stories are testimonials Forrester chose to publish on its internship program page, so read them as examples, not a list of roles you can expect.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

Forrester doesn't publish eligibility rules for interns. The program page has none, and the two 2024 postings are closed and can't be read. Here's the honest state of each point:

• Class year: not published.

• Major: not published. The roles on record suggest it depends on the team: marketing, design, data science or computer science.

• GPA: not published.

• Work authorization: not published for interns.

• Location: both 2024 postings were in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The program page describes hybrid work, with some days at home and some in the office.

Is There a GPA Cutoff at Forrester?

We can't confirm one either way. No Forrester intern posting is live, the 2024 postings are closed, and the program page says nothing about grades. Treat any number you see elsewhere as unverified. Be careful with job aggregators in particular: "Forrester" is also a surname and the name of unrelated companies, and aggregator pages mix them together. If a posting appears in spring 2027, read its requirements section. That's the only reliable source.

Question 1 of 6

Which summer are you applying for?

Recruiting timelines differ by class year, so we compare you with the right group.

Question 2 of 6

Which group is your school closest to?

Firms recruit on campus in tiers. We match you against admits from schools like yours.

Major is not a hard filter, but it shifts how much your coursework has to prove.

Question 4 of 6

How many internships, externships or research positions have you held so far?

Count anything with a real employer, mentor or principal investigator attached. Retail and food service do not count.

Question 5 of 6

What Skills Does Forrester Look For, and How Do You Build Them?

There's no Forrester intern job description to read, so this section draws on the three past intern stories on the program page, not on postings. The social media intern describes "pitching ideas for campaign strategies" and working across departments to improve their content process. The business analyst and quality assurance intern applied computer science skills to "quality assurance/testing and business analysis" and had "opportunities to present to executive leadership." The data science intern worked on "solving business problems with machine learning." Across all three, the common thread is presenting and working with senior colleagues, plus one clear technical skill for the team: content and campaigns, testing and analysis, or machine learning and generative AI.

Note: We haven't drawn a skills chart for Forrester. No intern posting is live, and the two 2024 postings are closed and unreadable, so there's nothing to count. The skills above come from three past intern stories that Forrester published on its internship program page, read in October 2026.

For Forrester applicants: Forrester's own job board listed six roles and no internship on October 12, 2026, and every one of the six is a regular position. None of the postings counted above is Forrester's, so a busy market won't show you an opening there. Check its board again in spring 2027.

Pick the one closest to the team you'd want to join; Forrester's roles on record were each tied to a single function.

What Is the Forrester Application and Interview Process Like?

Forrester publishes one interview process for all roles. It doesn't say whether interns go through every step:

1. Apply on Workday. A posting would appear on Forrester's job board and, in 2024, was also linked from the internship program page.

2. Recruiter phone interview. Forrester says this first conversation with a recruiter is "meant to be a two-way street."

3. Hiring manager interview. A conversation with the person who leads the team.

4. Team interviews. Forrester uses behavioral questions of the "Tell me about a time when" kind.

5. Skills demonstration, for some roles. A presentation or assessment "is not required for every role but is common in research, sales, consulting, and customer success."

6. Feedback. Forrester says: "If you don't get the job, we'll share specific feedback about why."

The team round is behavioral, so prepare specific stories; our behavioral interview guide shows the STAR structure.

What We Found on Reddit

Nothing about the internship. Reddit mentions Forrester's reports and analysts, but we found no thread about interning there, and no first-hand intern reviews on Vault. The only first-hand accounts are the three testimonials on Forrester's own program page, quoted above and chosen by the company.

How Do You Stand Out for a Forrester Internship?

Three moves. First, watch the right two places from March. Forrester's Workday board and the Job Opportunities block on its internship page are where a role would appear. Don't rely on job aggregators, which confuse Forrester with other employers of the same name. Second, apply to a team, not to "Forrester." Every role on record sat in one function: field marketing, graphic design, social media, data science, or business analysis on the Salesforce team. Decide which of those you are and bring work that proves it, such as a campaign you ran, a design portfolio or a model you built. Third, know the product. Read some of Forrester's public research and learn what Izola does; an intern's prototype became that tool, and it makes a good talking point. Keep other applications going at the same time. Forrester publishes no intern class size, applicant count or conversion rate.

FAQ

Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Forrester internship?

No, and we found no Forrester intern posting for summer 2026 at all. Nothing is posted for summer 2027 either: on October 12, 2026 Forrester's job board listed six roles and no internship, and its program page said "Please check back soon for updates." If roles are posted, spring 2027 is the expected time.

Does Forrester have internships?

Yes, but rarely and without a fixed schedule. Forrester has an internship program page for North America and has hired interns in marketing, design, social media, data science and Salesforce quality assurance. Two intern postings were listed in May 2024. Its program page has shown no openings in any archived copy since September 2024.

When do Forrester internship applications open for summer 2027?

Forrester hasn't published a date and hasn't said it will post roles. The last listed postings were live on May 22, 2024 for that same summer, so if Forrester posts for summer 2027, the expected window is roughly March to May 2027. That estimate rests on a single year, so confidence is low.

How much do Forrester interns get paid?

Forrester hasn't published intern pay. No intern posting with a pay range is available to read, and we don't quote aggregator figures here because job sites mix Forrester with unrelated employers that share the name. If a posting appears in spring 2027, check it for a stated pay range before you apply.

What are the eligibility requirements for a Forrester internship?

They aren't published. The program page states no class year, major, GPA or work authorization rule, and the 2024 postings that would have listed them are closed. Requirements are likely set by each team for its own role, so the posting itself is the only reliable source once one appears.

Where are Forrester internships located?

Cambridge, Massachusetts, on the record we have. Both intern postings from May 2024 were based there, at Forrester's headquarters, and the program page describes hybrid work, with some days at home and some in the office. We found no evidence of intern roles at other US offices, and Forrester doesn't publish a list of intern locations.

What do Forrester interns do?

Work on one team in their field. Forrester's page quotes a social media intern who pitched campaign ideas, a business analyst and quality assurance intern on the Salesforce team, and a data science intern who built a generative AI chatbot proof of concept that Forrester later developed into its client tool, Izola.

What is the Forrester interview process?

Forrester's published process for all roles is an application on Workday, a recruiter phone interview, a hiring manager interview and behavioral team interviews. Some roles add a skills demonstration such as a presentation. Forrester also says it shares specific feedback with candidates who aren't hired. It doesn't say which steps apply to interns.

Forrester may post an internship in spring 2027, or it may not. Don't leave the year to chance: a remote Externship gives you a finished research, marketing or AI project that works for Forrester and for every other firm on your list.
