Externs analyze real user journeys, study how top consumer apps drive repeat engagement, prototype a feature concept, test it with peers, and deliver a polished product pitch grounded in user insight, editorial values, and business impact. The experience mirrors how modern product teams operate and gives students rare, resume-defining exposure to senior leadership and real-world product decision-making.
Project Output
By the end of this Externship, externs will have created (deliverables):
- A user journey map with annotated pain points.
- A competitive feature matrix with insights on positioning.
- A visual prototype/mockup of their feature (Replit Agent).
- A focus group report with survey results and insights.
- A final feature proposal deck (5–7 slides).
