What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

Stifel publishes different requirements for its two internship groups:

• Class year: Institutional Group targets students who will have completed their junior year by the internship's start, a rising senior internship. Home Office requires at least one year of college completed.

• GPA: Institutional Group states a minimum GPA of 3.5, described in the posting as a floor, not a preference. Home Office publishes no GPA minimum.

• Work authorization: every Institutional Group posting requires authorization to work in the U.S. Stifel does not publish a blanket no sponsorship policy the way some peers do; community sources note the firm sponsors selectively for some MBA and associate level hires, but this is not confirmed for undergraduate interns.

• Resume format: Institutional Group postings require a PDF resume that states your expected graduation month, year, and GPA directly on the document.

Does Stifel Have a Hard GPA Cutoff?

Yes, for the Institutional Group, and it's stated more firmly than at most peers: the posting reads 'Minimum GPA of 3.5 or above,' not 'preferred.'
