What Is a Regal Rexnord Internship?

A Regal Rexnord internship is a paid, roughly 11-week summer role at a US industrial manufacturer of motors, power transmission and motion-control products, running 2 June to 13 August 2027 in a specific function such as engineering, operations, supply chain or finance. The Engineering Summer Intern requisition describes a project-based internship that ends with interns presenting their results to leadership.

The engineering requisition spans applications, mechanical, electrical, design, quality, manufacturing, software and continuous improvement engineering across 13 US sites. The Operations Internship is built as a feeder: Regal Rexnord says it's "designed to develop future participants for our Early Career Rotational Program." The students page also lists MBA internships, the rotational program for new graduates and a six-month SEALs sales and engineering program.

When Do Regal Rexnord Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

Regal Rexnord posted all of its summer 2027 internships within about three weeks: Engineering on 2 September 2026, the three Operations requisitions on 10 September, Sales on 15 September, Commercial Excellence on 25 September and the other business-function roles from 22 September, per the posting dates on its Workday board. From a September posting to the 2 June 2027 start is a lead time of about 9 months.

We probed the board on 3 October 2026 and every one of the 14 summer requisitions was still live, along with eight co-ops and a part-time fall communications role. We couldn't find dated postings from the summer 2026 cycle, so the expected summer 2028 window rests on this one observed wave.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

Regal Rexnord gives no deadline, which makes this a rolling process: none of the 23 US intern and co-op requisitions we read on 3 October 2026 states a closing date, and Workday shows no end date.

That cuts both ways. There's no date to miss, but there's also no guarantee a role is still open in January, because a requisition can be filled and taken down at any point. With the whole summer class posted at once and no second wave visible, the full set of choices exists only now.

The Engineering requisition is one application covering 13 sites, so applying early also gives the hiring teams the longest runway to match you to a location.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

Requirements are set requisition by requisition. Across the US internships:

• Work authorization: every summer requisition says candidates must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship.

• GPA: a 3.0 minimum on the Engineering, IT, HR, EHS and Accounting & Finance requisitions.

• Graduation window: Engineering and IT want graduation in Winter 2027 or later; HR and EHS between Fall 2027 and Spring 2030; Operations wants rising seniors expected to graduate within the next year.

• Coursework: Supply Chain asks for at least two years of full-time study; Accounting & Finance asks for at least two accounting or finance classes before the start date.

• Relocation: the Operations internship may require relocation, and candidates must be open to relocating for the rotational program after graduation.

Is the 3.0 GPA a Hard Cutoff?

On the five requisitions that state it, yes on paper: the Engineering requisition reads "Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale." The Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing and Customer Care requisitions don't list a GPA at all. If your GPA sits just below 3.0, those tracks are the realistic place to apply.

What Skills Does Regal Rexnord Look For, and How Do You Build Them?

Regal Rexnord's requisitions lean on general business skills more than on specialist tools. Communication, Microsoft Excel, data analysis and problem solving appear on most of them, and many ask you to present findings to leaders. Technical asks are track-specific: Lean and Six Sigma for continuous improvement and operations, CAD for design engineering, and circuit design and validation testing for electrical engineering.

What Is the Regal Rexnord Application and Interview Process Like?

Regal Rexnord doesn't publish its intern interview process. What the requisitions and careers site do show:

1. Apply on Workday. Pick the requisition for your function on the Student & Early Career board. The Engineering requisition covers 13 sites in one application; Operations has a separate requisition for each of its three sites.

2. Check the eligibility lines. GPA, graduation window, coursework and sponsorship requirements differ by requisition, and the sponsorship rule applies to all of them.

3. Interviews. We found no official description and no first-hand US intern interview reports, so expect a standard screen and interviews with the hiring team.

4. Offer and start. Offer timing isn't published. The summer program starts on 2 June 2027.

Three moves for this cycle.
