What it does post is research and clinical: two paid, per diem Student Intern roles on its own job system right now (research support at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, $17 to $20 an hour), plus two dated summer 2027 programs, the Health Career Opportunity Program (apply by December 18, 2026) and the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (apply by February 2, 2027). NYU Langone Health is a New York academic health system whose medical school is NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The routes it posts for students are research and clinical, not business. Its two live Student Intern postings are per diem research-support jobs at the medical school, one in an MRI hardware lab and one on a women's health epidemiology study. It also runs two summer 2027 programs, a clinical one (HCOP) and a research one (SURP), and a graduate-only Administrative Fellowship. When Do NYU Langone Health Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
NYU Langone's student routes run on three clocks. The Student Intern postings are rolling and come from individual research teams; the two live ones opened on October 7 and October 23, 2026. HCOP's application opened September 14, 2026 and closes at midnight on December 18, 2026, with decisions emailed in early March, about 5 to 6 months before the summer sessions (the page gives no session dates). SURP closes February 2, 2027, about 4 months before its June 1 start. We couldn't recover prior-cycle dates, so the 2028 versions are projections: expect HCOP to open around mid-September 2027 and SURP to close in early February 2028, with low confidence.

• Student Intern postings: a full-time student, or planning to return to full-time status in the fall if working in summer (mid-May to mid-September). The research posting also asks for clear written and spoken communication, Windows and Unix computer skills and use of routine lab equipment.
• HCOP: at least 18 years old, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2, a personal statement and a transcript. NYU Langone's program page says it's open to college students, recent graduates and high school seniors.
• SURP: U.S. citizens and permanent residents who completed sophomore or junior year, with at least one full semester of bench laboratory research, committed full time for the program.
• Administrative Fellowship: graduate-only. Applicants must have finished a healthcare management program, and NYU Langone doesn't sponsor work visas for it.
• Work authorization for the Student Intern postings: not stated in either posting.
Can You Intern in Hospital Administration as an Undergraduate?
Not through a program NYU Langone posts for undergraduates. The Administrative Fellowship, in place since 1988, is for people who have finished a healthcare management degree (MHA, MHSA, MPH, MPA or an MBA with a healthcare focus), and its page still describes the 2026 to 2027 cycle with no 2027 date. If you're an undergraduate interested in operations, your open doors are a department-level Student Intern posting or an Interns for Credit placement arranged through your school, and neither is a structured business program.
What Skills Does NYU Langone Health Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
Only two student postings are live, so there's no skill count. The Student Research Intern posting asks for the ability to work with research participants, write and speak clearly, use Windows and Unix computers and use routine laboratory equipment, and it prefers someone qualified to perform human subject research. The Student Intern posting asks for a full-time student who can communicate with all levels of the organization, and its duties are pulling and aliquoting biospecimens and checking data. What Is the NYU Langone Health Application and Interview Process Like?
Each route applies differently.
1. Student Intern postings. Apply on NYU Langone's job system. Community posts from 2025 say applicants get an online assessment after applying (one poster described 95 questions) and often hear little afterward. That's about NYU Langone hiring in general, not interns in particular.
2. HCOP. Apply online with a one-page personal statement and a transcript by December 18, 2026. Emergency medicine applicants add a 500 to 700 word essay. Decisions go out by email in early March, and selected participants complete a background check and a physician-signed medical form.
3. SURP. Apply online by February 2, 2027, 5 p.m. ET. Accepted students are matched with a laboratory.
4. Administrative Fellowship. Graduates apply through a national centralized service. It isn't a route for current students.
NYU Langone publishes no interview questions for the student postings.

Applicants in a 2025 HCOP thread compared decision timing: one said replies came in late March the year before, and in 2025 acceptance and rejection emails arrived in early March. Participants also asked whether NYU dorm housing was available and how to commute to a Brooklyn ICU placement from Manhattan.
Commenters on a June 2025 thread about applying for NYU Langone jobs described a dated application system, an online assessment of about 95 questions sent after applying, and little or no feedback. It's hiring-process color, not a read on the student postings.

First, match the route to your profile.
