Last updated: October 2026
On 3 October 2026, Netskope's Greenhouse board listed 151 open jobs and not one was an internship, in the US or anywhere else. That doesn't mean Netskope takes no students. Its internal security team in St. Louis has run an intern program since May 2019, when it started with four interns, and Netskope now calls it New in Career: a three-month St. Louis program with rotations through GRC, SOC and red-teaming. The door is narrow, cybersecurity-only and onsite. In plain words: nothing is open today, and if Netskope posts again, applications for spring and summer 2027 would most likely appear in October or November 2026, a low-confidence estimate based on its 2023 postings.
What Is a Netskope Internship?
A Netskope internship is an onsite rotation inside Netskope's own security team in St. Louis, Missouri, where students sample governance, risk and compliance (GRC), the security operations center (SOC) and red-teaming before they specialize. Netskope, the Santa Clara cloud security company that went public on the Nasdaq in September 2025 (ticker NTSK), runs it as "New in Career", which replaced what its security leaders called a more traditional internship. The program has deep ties to Maryville University: a Netskope security engineering manager teaches Maryville's cloud security course. Past interns built real tools, including a vulnerability-scanning framework and plugins for Netskope's Cloud Exchange.

When Do Netskope Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Netskope's last documented US cycle had two shapes. The "Intern - Information Security (Summer 2024)" role in St. Louis was first seen on 13 September 2023, about nine months before a June start. A combined "CSO Data Analyst - Spring 2024 & Summer 2024" role was listed in October 2023, about three months before a January start. We found no Netskope US intern posting for summer 2025, 2026 or 2027, and the March 2026 New in Career post routes students to program leads instead. So treat every date below as an expected window for spring or summer 2027, low confidence, and check the board monthly.
Applications aren't open. On 3 October 2026 Netskope's board listed 151 jobs and no internships, so this is the window to build security proof and to use the contact route in Netskope's own New in Career post.
Applications for spring and summer 2027 expected to post on the Greenhouse board, if Netskope repeats its 2023 timing. Low confidence: the program may now fill through referrals and partner schools instead of public postings.
A spring 2027 cohort would start here, if a spring role posts. The 2024 data analyst role covered spring and summer in one posting.
Keep checking for summer 2027 roles. Netskope publishes no interview process, so ask the program leads what the steps are once you're in touch.
Three months onsite in St. Louis, rotating through GRC, SOC and red-teaming. In 2022 Netskope said it had hired over half of its internal security interns.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
Netskope has never published a deadline on an intern posting we could find, so the urgency here isn't a date. It's seat count. The program started with four interns in 2019, it's tied to one office, and partner schools like Maryville University feed it directly. A small cohort with a built-in pipeline fills from people who are already known to the team. If a St. Louis role appears, apply that week. Better still, don't wait for it: Netskope's March 2026 post tells interested students to reach out to the two program leads it names, both former interns.
Which Netskope Internship Programs Should You Target?
Every US student role we could document sits inside Netskope's internal security team in St. Louis. There's no engineering, sales or marketing internship on record for 2024 to 2026.
| Track | Focus | Duration | Key details |
|---|---|---|---|
| New in Career | Rotations through GRC, SOC and red-teaming | Three months | St. Louis; current name per Netskope's March 2026 post; contact route, no live req |
| Information Security Intern | Log review, alert triage, security tooling, vendor risk and compliance | Summer (40 hrs/week) | St. Louis onsite; last seen for summer 2024, first posted 13 Sep 2023 |
| CSO Data Analyst Intern | Security analytics for the Chief Security Officer's team | Spring and summer | St. Louis; last seen as a combined spring and summer 2024 role, listed Oct 2023 |
| Partner-school co-op | Two college terms with Netskope for academic credit | Two terms | Maryville University and University of Advancing Technology (2022 program post) |
Check the Netskope open positions board and filter for St. Louis. Netskope's India campus hiring runs separately through college placement and isn't covered here.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Netskope's requirements come from its last US intern posting (summer 2024) and its program posts:
• Degree: currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, network security or a related field at an accredited university (2024 req).
• Location: must be able to work at the St. Louis office; the 2024 role was onsite at 40 hours a week.
• GPA: not published on any Netskope intern posting we found.
• Work authorization and sponsorship: not stated on the 2024 posting. Ask the program leads before you invest time.

Do You Need to Be a Maryville Student?
No, but it helps. Netskope's 2022 post names Maryville University and the University of Advancing Technology as co-op partners, and its 2026 post describes a Netskope manager teaching Maryville's cloud security course and bringing past interns in to talk to students. That's a real pipeline. If you're elsewhere, the substitute is a direct, specific note to the program leads plus visible security work: a home lab, a CTF write-up, or a finished project.

What Skills Does Netskope Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
Netskope's skill asks come from one intern posting and three program posts, so read the chart as a profile, not a census. Three themes repeat. Defensive operations: reviewing logs, triaging and correlating alerts, and chasing a finding to closure with the owning team. Governance and risk: vendor risk assessments and compliance work, which every source mentions. Automation: past interns earned their reputations by scripting, from Project Viper (automated scanning and ticketing from Censys results) to Cloud Exchange plugins.

Build These Skills Before You Apply
Each skill in the chart maps to a remote Externship you can finish before Netskope's next window.
| Skill (from real JDs) | JD evidence | Externship that builds it |
|---|---|---|
| Incident response & alert triage | 2024 req: review logs, analyze and correlate security alerts, document the resolution | Hydroficient IoT Cyber Defense |
| Security automation & scripting | 2022 post: Project Viper automated scanning, password testing and ticket generation | Wayfair n8n AI Agent Engineering |
| Security analytics | CSO Data Analyst intern track; 2022 post: insider-threat analytics dashboard | Breaking Games SQL Database Architecture |
The Hydroficient project gives you a cyber-defense deliverable to talk through in a SOC conversation, the Wayfair build shows you can automate a workflow end to end, and the SQL project covers the querying a security analytics role runs on.
What Is the Netskope Application and Interview Process Like?
Netskope doesn't publish an intern interview process, and we found no first-hand account of one. Here's the route its own posts describe:
1. Watch the board. Check Netskope's Greenhouse board for St. Louis intern roles, historically from mid-September through October.
2. Contact the program leads. Netskope's March 2026 New in Career post asks interested students to reach out to the two leads it names, both former interns.
3. Lead with security work. Bring a specific rotation you want to test (GRC, SOC or red-teaming) and a project that shows it.
4. Interviews. Not published. Ask the leads what the steps are and how long they take.
5. Start onsite. The 2024 role required working at the St. Louis office, 40 hours a week.
If you can't work in St. Louis, Netskope's documented US internships aren't a fit, and the peers below are better targets.
What We Found on Reddit
We searched Reddit on 28 September and again on 3 October 2026 and found no first-hand thread from a US Netskope intern or applicant, only India hiring and full-time sales and engineering threads, so we're not padding this with off-topic posts. The best first-hand account is a former intern's own write-up, A Look Inside the Netskope Cybersecurity Internship Experience, on Netskope's blog.
How Do You Stand Out for a Netskope Security Internship?
Three moves. Pick a rotation and say why. New in Career rotates through GRC, SOC and red-teaming; name the one you want to test and the project that made you curious about it. Speak Netskope's product language. Netskope sells cloud security (SSE and SASE), so knowing what a CASB, DLP policy or URL filter does, and showing some AWS or GCP work, puts you ahead of generic applicants. Show you automate. The interns Netskope writes about were the ones who scripted something the team still uses. Netskope doesn't publish an applicant count or a current conversion rate; the only figure is from 2022, when it said it had hired over half of its internal security interns.

FAQ
Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Netskope internship?
No. Summer 2026 is over, and on 3 October 2026 Netskope's board listed 151 jobs with no internships. The next door is the St. Louis New in Career program: contact the program leads named in Netskope's March 2026 post, and watch for spring or summer 2027 roles, expected October to November 2026 at low confidence.
When do Netskope internship applications open for summer 2027?
Netskope hasn't announced a date. Its last documented summer role, for summer 2024, first appeared on 13 September 2023, about nine months before a June start. If it repeats that pattern, applications for summer 2027 would post around October to November 2026, but nothing had posted by 3 October.
Where are Netskope internships located?
In St. Louis, Missouri. Every US intern role we could document from 2021 to 2024, and the current New in Career program, is based in Netskope's St. Louis office on the internal security team. We found no internships at the Santa Clara headquarters, and the 2024 role required working onsite.
What is Netskope's New in Career program?
It's Netskope's current name for its student security program: a three-month program in the St. Louis office with rotations through GRC, SOC and red-teaming, according to Netskope's March 2026 blog post. It replaced a more traditional internship so students can sample several security roles before they choose one.
What GPA does Netskope require for interns?
Netskope doesn't publish a GPA cutoff. Its last US intern posting asked for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, network security or a related field who could work at the St. Louis office. Relevant security projects and coursework matter more in what Netskope has written about its interns.
Do Netskope security interns get full-time offers?
Often, at least historically. In June 2022 Netskope said it had hired over 50% of all its internal security interns and helped place over 85% of them in full-time jobs. It hasn't updated those figures since, so treat them as a 2022 snapshot rather than a current rate.
How much do Netskope interns get paid?
Netskope doesn't publish intern pay. The last US intern posting we found, the summer 2024 Information Security role in St. Louis, listed no pay range, and no current posting exists to read one from. Ask the program leads directly once you're in contact.
What skills help most for a Netskope internship?
Defensive security basics come first: reading logs, triaging alerts and following an incident to closure. Governance, risk and compliance work shows up in every source we read. Scripting is the differentiator, since Netskope's best-known interns automated scanning and built Cloud Exchange plugins the team kept using.
Netskope's door opens rarely and quietly. Use the wait to finish a security project you can walk the St. Louis team through: a remote Externship gives you one in about 8 weeks.
