The Los Angeles Angels pay their interns, and they hire in waves. The club's main Internship Program has posted in late September three times in our record (22 September 2019, 27 September 2022 and 25 September 2024), each time with a hard deadline about two to three weeks later. The 2025 class paid $16.50 an hour for up to 40 hours a week for up to 11 months, starting as early as January. The 2026 class paid $16.90.
As of 17 October 2026 no Angels internship is open, and the main program hasn't posted. The club's TeamWork Online board lists ten part-time game-day jobs for the 2027 season and no internships, and the club's own fans page says "check back later". We couldn't retrieve the Angels' own posting for the 2026-class program, so this year is later than the three years we can document. In plain words, watch TeamWork weekly now: if the main program posts, it will close in about three weeks.

Externships are short, remote programs where you finish a real project for a real company, and unlike the Angels' season-long internships you can start one this month. The Beats by Dre Creative Advertising Strategy Externship builds the brand-partnership thinking behind sponsorship work, and the Breaking Games E-Commerce Data Analysis & Strategy Externship builds the sales-data analysis behind ticketing and baseball business roles.
What Is a Los Angeles Angels Internship?
A Los Angeles Angels internship is a paid, hourly placement with the MLB club's business or baseball side at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. The 2025 main program placed interns in Sponsorship Services, Community Relations, Communications (game day) and Ballpark Operations/Special Events, and the club posts other internships on their own: video production, game presentation, game night communications, ticket sales and information systems.
The postings are specific about the work. A game night communications intern prepares stat packs, lineup sheets and game notes for the press box and writes postgame notes for every home game. The club's perks, listed on each posting, include game tickets, early office closure pay and merchandise discounts, and the 2026 postings add sick time after 90 days and 401(k) contributions after three months.

When Do Los Angeles Angels Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
The Angels' own TeamWork listings carry posting dates, and they show two patterns. The main Internship Program posts in late September: "2020 Internships" on 22 September 2019, the 2023 program on 27 September 2022 and the 2025 program on 25 September 2024, each valid for 17 to 24 days. Listings for the spring wave come later: Video Production posted on 18 December 2024 for a 3 March 2025 start, and Game Presentation on 4 December 2025 for a 16 March 2026 start, about two and a half to three and a half months ahead. In-season roles follow: Ticket Sales on 17 March 2025 and Information Systems on 30 April 2026.
We couldn't retrieve the posting for the 2026-class program, so we have no official date for last fall. No main-program posting exists yet this year, which is later than any year we can document.
No Angels internship is open and the main program hasn't posted. The TeamWork board shows ten part-time game-day jobs for 2027, and the club's fans page says to check back later. This is the window to prepare the exact application the club asks for.
Draft a one-page resume and a one-page cover letter as PDFs: the 2025 program required both and asked four questions about your interest, department, goals and skills. Turn on TeamWork alerts for the Angels.
Applications for the 2027 internship year are expected if the club follows its pattern of late September postings (2019, 2022, 2024), but nothing has posted yet. When it does, expect about three weeks and a hard deadline.
Spring-start internships are expected to post: video production and game presentation in early to mid December (2024, 2025), game night communications in early January 2026, ticket sales in mid March and information systems in late April.
Main-program interns start as early as January and can work up to 11 months; spring-wave interns start in March and run to October. The Angels don't publish a conversion rate or class size.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
The Angels' postings state a deadline and warn about it. The 2025 program said to apply by 8:59 pm PST on Friday, 18 October 2024, and that failing to apply by the posted deadline or in the requested format "may result in disqualification". The Game Presentation listing closed 29 December 2025 and the Ticket Sales listing 31 March 2025. That makes this a hard deadline, not a rolling process, and the main listings stayed up only 17 to 24 days.
Two things slow people down. The application needs a one-page resume and cover letter in PDF, plus answers to the club's questions, and several departments need a driver's license or Photoshop or stats-site experience, so prepare before the listing appears.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
The requirements come from the club's own 2025 and 2026 postings:
• Education: a high school diploma, with an associate's or bachelor's degree preferred (2025 program); a bachelor's in communications preferred for game night communications; study in computer science or information systems for the IT internship.
• Enrollment: none of the postings we read requires current enrollment or college credit.
• Availability: flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays; communications and game presentation interns must be available for all home games.
• Other: no relocation assistance; some departments need a driver's license; offers are subject to a background check.
• GPA and work authorization: not stated in the postings we read.

Can You Apply If You're Not a Current Student?
Possibly. The postings we read ask for a diploma and a preferred degree, and none requires enrollment or credit, so recent graduates and gap-year applicants aren't ruled out on paper. The club doesn't say how it ranks applicants, though, so don't assume. If you're still a student, the long season and the hours (up to 40 a week) mean you'll likely need a leave, a gap or a school arrangement.
What Skills Do the Los Angeles Angels Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
Across the six postings we read in full, the Angels ask first for flexibility: nights, weekends and holidays appear in every one. Next come Microsoft Office, clear writing and speaking, and the ability to prioritize several tasks at once. Baseball knowledge matters for game-day roles, where the club names the MLB Research Tool, Baseball Reference, Baseball Savant and FanGraphs as preferred, not required.

What Is the Los Angeles Angels Application and Interview Process Like?
The Angels publish their application steps in each posting, so this is what the 2025 and 2026 listings required:
1. Watch TeamWork Online and set a job alert; the club's fans page lists no internship information for now.
2. Prepare the package. The 2025 program required a resume of one page and a cover letter of one page, both as PDFs, with the letter answering four questions.
3. Apply by the posted deadline (for example 8:59 pm PST on 18 October 2024). After clicking Apply Now you must finish the application on the follow-up screen.
4. Interview. The format isn't published, and the club says hiring managers contact applicants at their discretion; offers are subject to a background check.
The game-day jobs on the board today (usher, ticket taker, parking, security) are part-time seasonal jobs, not internships.
What Students on Reddit Say
We found no first-hand Angels internship threads on Reddit: the only Angels hits were about an inside sales job and an unrelated university internship. The club's own postings are the best guide to what the work involves.
How Do You Stand Out for an Angels Internship?
Three moves.
First, be ready before the listing exists. The main program has closed in under three weeks, so have your one-page resume and one-page cover letter finished as PDFs, and write the answers to the club's four questions now.
Second, match the department. Sponsorship applicants should show PowerPoint and any design work, communications applicants baseball statistics and fast, accurate writing, and ballpark operations applicants event planning. Say plainly that you can work nights, weekends and holidays.
Third, follow the instructions exactly: the club warns that missing the deadline or format may disqualify you. The Angels don't publish class size or a conversion rate, so treat the internship as experience and relationships.
