The LA Galaxy don't run their own internship program. The club's contact page sends anyone looking for an internship to AEG, the company that owns and operates Dignity Health Sports Park, and AEG's careers page says it offers "year-round, 12-week internship programs". We found only two Galaxy-named intern postings on AEG's boards: a Global Partnerships intern in September 2022 and a Summer Team Administration intern in May 2023, which paid $17.00 to $19.00 an hour. On 17 October 2026 the Galaxy had no intern posting open, and AEG's whole job board listed one internship, a touring role in Chicago. Here's the cycle in plain words: AEG posts its interns in short windows of about three weeks, and the next ones are expected around December 2026 (spring 2027) and late April 2027 (summer 2027).
Quick Facts
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Where to apply | AEG, not a Galaxy portal. Use the AEG careers page, and watch the Galaxy board on TeamWork Online, where the club's past intern postings appeared. Turn on job alerts there |
| Application window (2027–28) | Nothing open for the Galaxy now. Applications for spring 2027 expected ~Dec 2026 to Jan 2027; for summer 2027 ~late Apr to May 2027; for fall 2027 ~Aug to Sep 2027. These are AEG-wide patterns; a Galaxy-named role may not post in every term |
| Rolling? | No. Short windows: the Galaxy's 2022 intern posting ran 16 Sep to 13 Oct, its 2023 summer posting 8 to 26 May, and AEG's 2026 summer Talent Acquisition posting 28 Apr to 21 May |
| Eligibility | Students. The 2022 Galaxy posting asked for a candidate pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field; the 2023 posting, "a degree in a relevant field". The 2026 AEG summer posting we read offers no visa sponsorship. No GPA stated |
| Duration | AEG says its programs run 12 weeks, year-round. The Galaxy's 2023 posting said "Summer" with no weeks or dates, and the 2026 AEG summer role was part-time |
| Compensation | Galaxy summer 2023: $17.00 to $19.00 an hour. AEG summer 2026 (Talent Acquisition, Los Angeles): $19.00 to $21.00. Galaxy 2022: pay not stated. AEG says its interns are paid |
| Return offers | Conversion rate and class size not published. The 2023 Galaxy posting offered a résumé review with AEG Talent Acquisition |
| Locations | Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA for the Galaxy. AEG internships elsewhere, such as a Chicago touring role open in October 2026 |
| # Programs | One AEG-run program with spring, summer and fall terms; the Galaxy hosts interns only occasionally (two postings found, 2022 and 2023) |
No Galaxy internship was open on 17 October 2026. AEG's spring 2027 interns are expected to post from about December 2026, and summer 2027 interns from about late April 2027, each for roughly three weeks.
AEG's partnership and administration interns work with sponsor data, databases and fan audiences, so a finished project helps before the window opens. Externships are short, remote programs where you complete a real project for a real company, most commonly over 8 weeks. The Pinterest Gen Z Consumer Behavior Externship fits sponsor activation and audience insight, and the Breaking Games E-Commerce Data Analysis & Strategy Externship fits ticketing and sales data work. What Is an LA Galaxy Internship?
An LA Galaxy internship is a paid student role with the MLS club, but AEG is the employer. AEG owns and operates Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, and the Galaxy's contact page says to look for internships at aegworldwide.com/careers. AEG's own copy promises "year-round, 12-week internship programs" for students. The Galaxy-named postings we found are few: an Intern, Global Partnerships in fall 2022 (sponsor activation at home games) and a Summer Intern, Team Administration in 2023 (player relations, team events and travel). No Galaxy intern posting after 2023 turned up in AEG's boards or archives. AEG also owns other clubs, but their postings aren't the Galaxy's.

When Do LA Galaxy Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
The Galaxy don't have a calendar of their own, so this one is AEG's. The two Galaxy-named postings ran 16 September to 13 October 2022 and 8 to 26 May 2023, each open about three weeks. AEG's 2026 summer posting we read, a Talent Acquisition intern in Los Angeles, ran 28 April to 21 May. Archived AEG boards show spring intern postings around December to February and fall postings around August to September. AEG's postings don't state start dates, so the lead time from posting to start can't be measured from them.
No Galaxy internship is open. AEG's job board listed 157 jobs on 17 October 2026 and one internship, a touring role in Chicago, which isn't the Galaxy. Fall postings usually go up in August and September, so this term has passed.
Prepare a résumé and a short portfolio of one finished project. Set a job alert on the Galaxy's TeamWork board and follow AEG's careers page.
AEG's spring 2027 interns are expected to post. Archived AEG boards show spring intern postings around December to February. A Galaxy-named role is possible but not promised.
Applications for summer 2027 are expected to open around late April and close around late May, based on AEG's 2026 window (28 April to 21 May) and the Galaxy's 2023 window (8 to 26 May). Apply in the first week.
Summer interns are expected to start in the weeks after the window closes. AEG states 12-week programs; start dates aren't published.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
AEG's windows are short, and the Galaxy's 2022 and 2023 postings stayed open about 27 and 18 days, and AEG's 2026 summer posting 23 days, so a posting can close before a student who is waiting on a deadline reminder has applied. AEG posts across many units on one board, which means a Galaxy-named role can appear without notice. Set an alert and keep your materials ready. Apply in the first week. No Galaxy role is posted most of the year, so also apply to AEG's other internships, which cover many units.
Which LA Galaxy Internship Programs Should You Target?
These are the intern postings with first-party dates we could read. Only the first two are Galaxy roles, and nothing Galaxy-named is open now.
| Role | Focus | Posted | Key skills |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intern, Global Partnerships (LA Galaxy) | Sponsor activation at Galaxy home games, departmental databases | 16 Sep to 13 Oct 2022 | Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite preferred |
| Summer Intern, Team Administration (LA Galaxy) | Player relations, new-player booklet, appearances, team events, travel | 8 to 26 May 2023 ($17.00 to $19.00 an hour) | Organization, communication |
| Summer Intern, Talent Acquisition (AEG Worldwide) | AEG's 2026 summer example, part-time, on site in Los Angeles; not a Galaxy role | 28 Apr to 21 May 2026 ($19.00 to $21.00 an hour) | Recruiting support, communication |
| CMN Internship (Touring), AEG Presents | The only intern-titled job on AEG's board on 17 Oct 2026; Chicago, not the Galaxy | Posted 30 Sep 2026 | See the posting |
Find AEG roles on the AEG careers page and Galaxy roles on the club's TeamWork board. Other Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park jobs, such as guest services at Galaxy Park or the Soccer Center, the Youth Programs Coach and Account Executive roles, are part-time or full-time jobs, not internships.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
AEG says its internships are for students, and the Galaxy's postings spell out the rest:
• Enrollment: the 2022 posting asked for a student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field; the 2023 posting, a degree in a relevant field.
• Skills: Microsoft Office, with Adobe Creative Suite preferred for the partnerships role.
• Hours and location: the Galaxy roles were on site in Carson, CA. AEG's 2026 summer example was part-time and not eligible for benefits.
• Work authorization: the 2026 AEG summer posting we read says the employer doesn't offer visa sponsorship.
• GPA: not stated in any posting we read.

Do You Need to Be Local to Apply?
The Galaxy's postings were on site in Carson, and the team-administration role covered home games, team events and travel, so plan to be in Southern California. The postings don't mention relocation help. If you are elsewhere, AEG lists internships in other cities too, such as the Chicago touring role open in October 2026.
What Skills Does the LA Galaxy Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
No Galaxy intern posting is open, so we can't count skills across a live set. The two Galaxy postings and AEG's 2026 summer example point the same way. Office tools and design: Microsoft Office, with Adobe Creative Suite preferred for partnerships. Data and records: departmental databases and the new-player booklet. Event and people work: sponsor activation at home games, player appearances, team events and travel. A degree in progress: every posting asks for a student in a relevant field.
Note: No skill chart: no Galaxy internship was open on 17 October 2026, and the two archived Galaxy postings are too few to count percentages.
How Is Demand for Marketing Interns Moving Right Now?
Marketing intern postings · Sep vs Aug 2026
vs 1,424 in August
For LA Galaxy applicants: AEG's job board on 17 October 2026 listed 157 jobs and one intern-titled role, a touring role in Chicago, and the Galaxy had none. Most marketing internships for summer 2027 are being filled now, so apply to those while you wait for AEG's windows.
Daily US job-posting counts, Sep 1–30 vs Aug 1–31, 2026. Covers under half of US postings; shows direction, not market size.
Build These Skills Before You Apply
Each skill below comes from a Galaxy or AEG intern posting and maps to a remote Externship you can finish before the next window.
| Skill (from real JDs) | JD evidence | Externship that builds it |
|---|---|---|
| Sponsor activation and audience insight | Intern, Global Partnerships (LA Galaxy): sponsor activation at home games | Pinterest Gen Z Consumer Behavior |
| Departmental databases | Intern, Global Partnerships (LA Galaxy): departmental databases | Breaking Games E-Commerce Data Analysis & Strategy |
| Creative tools and campaigns | Adobe Creative Suite preferred on the partnerships posting | Beats by Dre Creative Advertising Strategy |
An Externship deliverable gives you something specific to describe in a short window, when the posting asks for a résumé and little else.
What Is the LA Galaxy Application and Interview Process Like?
AEG doesn't publish an interview format. This is what the postings and the Galaxy's contact page show:
1. Start at AEG. The Galaxy's contact page says internship seekers should use aegworldwide.com/careers.
2. Watch two boards. Check AEG's careers page and the Galaxy's TeamWork board, where both past Galaxy intern postings appeared. Turn on alerts.
3. Apply inside the window. Past windows ran 18 to 27 days. Send a résumé and, if asked, a cover letter in the first week.
4. Use the perks. The 2023 Galaxy posting offered a résumé review with AEG Talent Acquisition.
5. Interview and offer. Steps aren't published. Expect questions on the role and your availability for home matches.
Don't confuse these with part-time jobs at Galaxy Park or the Soccer Center. Those are regular hourly roles, not internships.
What Students on Reddit Say
Reddit has almost nothing on Galaxy internships. The one useful thread is an MLS careers discussion from 2014, so treat it as background, not current advice.
A commenter who said they worked for the Galaxy advised students to try the MLS Sales Center if their goal is to work in MLS, calling ticket sales a proving ground and a way to get a foot in the door. Short of interning with a club or the league in college, they said it was the best bet.
How Do You Stand Out for an LA Galaxy Internship?
Three moves. First, apply to AEG, not just the Galaxy. The club hosts interns rarely, while AEG runs spring, summer and fall terms across many units, so watch both boards and be ready for a window of about three weeks. Second, match the posting. The Galaxy's partnerships role named sponsor activation, databases and Adobe tools, and the team-administration role named player relations and travel, so lead with a project that shows that skill. Third, be in Southern California and available for match days. The Galaxy and AEG don't publish an applicant count or a conversion rate, so treat the internship as your way in and ask about next steps once you're there.

FAQ
Can I still apply for a summer 2026 LA Galaxy internship?
No. We found no Galaxy-named summer 2026 posting, and AEG's own summer 2026 example, a Talent Acquisition intern, closed on 21 May 2026. Nothing Galaxy-named was open on 17 October 2026. Watch AEG's spring windows, expected from about December 2026, and summer 2027, expected from about late April 2027.
Does the LA Galaxy run its own internship program?
No. The Galaxy's contact page tells internship seekers to apply through AEG's careers site, and AEG owns and operates Dignity Health Sports Park. AEG says it runs year-round, 12-week paid internship programs. The Galaxy posted its own intern roles only twice that we could find, in 2022 and 2023.
When do AEG summer 2027 internship applications open?
They're expected around late April 2027 and likely close around late May. AEG's 2026 summer Talent Acquisition posting ran 28 April to 21 May, and the Galaxy's 2023 summer posting ran 8 to 26 May. AEG doesn't announce dates in advance, so set a job alert.
Are any LA Galaxy internships open right now?
No. On 17 October 2026 the Galaxy's TeamWork board listed nine jobs and none was an internship, and AEG's job board listed one intern-titled role, a touring internship in Chicago. Galaxy Park and Soccer Center guest services roles are part-time jobs, not internships.
How much do LA Galaxy interns make?
The Galaxy's summer 2023 Team Administration intern posting paid $17.00 to $19.00 an hour. AEG's summer 2026 Talent Acquisition intern posting paid $19.00 to $21.00. The 2022 Galaxy posting didn't state pay. AEG says its internships are paid, and 2027 rates haven't been posted.
Who can apply for an LA Galaxy internship?
Students. The 2022 Galaxy posting asked for someone pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and the 2023 posting asked for a degree in progress. AEG's 2026 summer posting we read offered no visa sponsorship. No posting stated a GPA minimum or a class year.
How long is an AEG internship?
AEG says its internship programs run 12 weeks, year-round. The Galaxy's 2023 posting said only "Summer", and AEG's 2026 summer example was part-time. Start and end dates aren't published in the postings we read, so confirm the dates in the posting you apply to.
Do LA Galaxy interns get full-time offers?
The Galaxy and AEG don't publish a conversion rate or class size. The 2023 Galaxy posting offered interns a résumé review with AEG Talent Acquisition, which suggests AEG treats interns as future candidates, but that's no promise of an offer.
No Galaxy internship is open today, and AEG's spring window is expected around December. Apply to what fits now, and if you want a finished project to show, a remote Externship takes about 5 to 10 hours a week.
