Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

Fidelity says it plainly on the official internships page: "We interview candidates on a rolling basis and aim to complete internship hiring by January." Rolling means the class fills while the window is still open, and the window is only a month long to begin with. But most applicants treat mid-October like the real deadline. Don't. By the time the posting closes, recruiters have been interviewing for weeks, and the January finish line means late applicants compete for whatever seats are left.

• Enrollment: current undergraduate or graduate student who will return to coursework after the summer. Graduating seniors are out; the program feeds a return offer, not a first job.

• GPA: no minimum is published on any Fidelity US internship posting or FAQ. Selection weighs skills, campus involvement, and fit.

• Work authorization: every 2026 posting carried the same line, "Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position." If you need sponsorship, FIDTERN effectively isn't available.
