Of the six technology and security intern postings live on 28 September 2026, four (Arlington, Richmond and Nashville technology, plus Arlington security) had been pulled from CoStar's boards by 3 October.

Still open: the Irvine technology internship, whose posting end date is 16 October 2026, the Richmond security engineer internship, and three Sunnyvale roles posted on 1 October 2026, including Matterport hardware internships. Research, product and data internships come later, and last cycle they were listed in winter and spring.

Technology interns "help build the software tools that power CoStar Group's proprietary platform" used by sales and research teams across those marketplaces, each paired with a mentor, according to the summer 2027 requisitions.

The program is wider than software. The security engineer intern builds a working prototype for a cybersecurity challenge and works on security operations. The new Sunnyvale roles sit with Matterport's hardware teams, where an embedded software intern works on camera and LiDAR test data and a mechanical intern owns one manufacturing project end to end.

When Do CoStar Group Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

CoStar recruits technology interns early in the fall and fills them quickly. For summer 2025, a Reddit applicant had a recruiter screen in mid-September 2024, a first round on 27 September and a Power Day planned for mid-October. Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

There's no published deadline on most of these reqs, and that's the trap. The four technology and security postings that went live in mid-September were gone by 3 October, roughly three weeks later, while the same reqs showed no end date at all. Irvine is the only live posting with a visible end date, 16 October 2026.

Treat every CoStar intern req as a short window. Recruiters move straight from screens to first rounds in September and October, and a Reddit applicant for summer 2025 was told to expect Power Day invites by 10 October. Apply the week a req appears, with your graduation date, GPA and React or Python projects easy to find on the resume.

Which CoStar Group Internship Programs Should You Target?

Five intern reqs are live on the campus board today. Earlier this cycle the same Technology Intern title also ran in Arlington, Richmond and Nashville.

All five list the same eligibility block and pay range. Research Consultant, Tenant Research, Product Management and Data Analyst internships ran in summer 2026 but have no summer 2027 posting yet; check the campus board again in January for those.

Is the 3.0 GPA a Hard Cutoff?

Treat it as one. It sits under Basic Qualifications, not Preferred, on every live req, and there's no wording that invites exceptions. The graduation window is just as strict: a December 2027 to June 2028 date is a basic qualification too, so a student graduating in spring 2027 should look at CoStar's new-grad Associate Software Engineer reqs instead, which are open now.
