Brookfield's student pages list no undergraduate summer analyst class, and its own job board showed exactly one US internship on October 25, 2026: a part-time Energy fundraising role in New York that runs through May 2027. A second req, a Brookfield Wealth Solutions analytics internship for June to August 2027 at $50 an hour, went up in mid-October and was gone by October 25. In plain words, you apply during 2026 for whichever single req is open, and summer 2027 roles are posted one at a time. Brookfield's real estate arm, formerly Brookfield Properties, was renamed BGRE in July 2026 and hires on its own board, which had no internship on October 25. This guide covers Brookfield's US student roles, not Brookfield Zoo or the towns called Brookfield.
What Is a Brookfield Internship?
A Brookfield internship is a US student role at Brookfield's asset management business, filled req by req rather than through one class. Brookfield's student programs page lists three programs: a CPA internship in Toronto, a 12-month Real Estate Accounting Program in New York and an MBA summer internship. There is no undergraduate summer analyst program on it. On October 25, 2026, the Brookfield Workday board listed 138 jobs and one internship, the Energy fundraising role in the Global Client Group, which raises capital for Brookfield's private funds. Brookfield describes itself as one of the world's largest alternative asset managers, and the real estate side now trades under the name BGRE. Brookfield doesn't publish a class size or an acceptance rate.
When Do Brookfield Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Brookfield publishes no application calendar for interns. The Energy fundraising req went up on September 25, 2026 for a role that started in the fall term and runs through May 2027, so it was posted close to its start. The Wealth Solutions analytics req was different: it was posted around October 14 for a June 2027 start, about eight months ahead, and was no longer on the board by October 25. Treat every req as a separate clock.
One US internship req is open: Energy fundraising in New York, part-time through May 2027. BGRE's board has none. Apply to the one that fits now; the Wealth Solutions req above showed how fast one can disappear.
Set alerts on the Brookfield and BGRE boards and read each business group's page. Brookfield publishes no dates for its Real Estate Accounting Program or its MBA summer internship, so check their pages directly.
Expected, with low confidence: more summer 2027 reqs may appear, since the Wealth Solutions role showed summer roles are posted singly in the fall. There is no published schedule, and this rests on one req.
The Energy fundraising internship ends. Part-time roles like it track the academic calendar, so a successor role for the 2027–28 school year is possible but isn't announced.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
Brookfield states no closing date on either req we read, so there is no deadline to plan around. What we saw instead was speed: the Wealth Solutions req was posted around October 14 and was gone by October 25, at most 11 days. The Energy req had been up for 30 days. With only one or two intern reqs on the board at a time, a role can close before you finish tailoring a resume. Keep a current resume and a short note about your Excel, Python and research experience ready, and apply within a few days of a req appearing.

What About BGRE, Formerly Brookfield Properties?
Brookfield's real estate arm, Brookfield Properties, was renamed BGRE in July 2026; its careers page now reads "Careers at BGRE, formerly Brookfield Properties." BGRE hires on its own Workday site, separate from the Brookfield board above. On October 25, 2026 that site listed 28 jobs and no internships. Some job-board copies showed BGRE summer 2027 listings this fall, but none is on BGRE's own board, so we don't repeat their pay or dates. If you searched for a Brookfield Properties internship, watch the BGRE board and the CBRE guide for comparable real estate roles.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Brookfield sets eligibility per req, and the two we read asked for different things.
• Class year: the Energy req prefers students entering their junior or senior year and expects you to graduate after the internship ends.
• Degree: currently pursuing a bachelor's, preferably in finance, economics, business or accounting. The Wealth Solutions req asked for a business, data science or similar degree.
• Availability: the Energy role is part-time during regular business hours through May 2027; the Wealth Solutions role was full-time June to August 2027.
• Work authorization: neither req we read states a work authorization rule, so ask the recruiter.
• GPA: neither req states a minimum. The Energy req asks for "strong academic performance."
Do You Need Prior Fundraising Experience?
No. The Energy req says no prior institutional fundraising or private fund marketing experience is required, and calls previous finance or consulting experience helpful but not required. It does ask for interest in private markets and comfort with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. The Wealth Solutions req was more technical, with Excel, VBA and Python, so match the skills to the req rather than to Brookfield's name.

What Skills Does Brookfield Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
Brookfield's two intern reqs ask for different skills. The Energy fundraising role leans on research and presentation: it describes qualitative and quantitative research on private funds and the limited partner landscape, plus investor presentations, case studies and fact sheets. The Wealth Solutions role leaned on quantitative tools: Excel and VBA, Python and math finance, for analytics projects in optimization and statistics. Both ask for strong written communication and attention to detail.
