Last updated: October 2026
Bainbridge doesn't recruit a summer intern class, and it isn't Bain & Company. It's a separate strategy research and M&A advisory firm founded in 1975, and its internships have been individual remote, part-time roles posted whenever a team needed someone. On October 12, 2026, its job board read "There are no open positions at this time." The last intern postings we can document came down in May 2025.
In plain words: there's no "apply in fall 2026, intern in summer 2027" calendar here. Past postings said "Start Date: Immediately," asked for a 90-day minimum commitment at 15 to 30 hours a week, and paid $18 to $22 an hour in the 2025 postings. If you want a Bainbridge internship, you watch the board. If you need a summer 2027 internship with a set date, you'll want a firm that runs one, and we list a few below.
What Is a Bainbridge Internship?
A Bainbridge internship is a paid, part-time, remote role on one team, with a 90-day minimum commitment. It isn't a summer program: there's no cohort, no fixed start date and no published curriculum. The firm's careers page says only that it "offers positions tailored to students that provide meaningful experience, support early career growth, and develop in-demand skills."
Bainbridge was founded in 1975 by Boulton Bainbridge Miller. It operates as two entities: Bainbridge Consulting Analytics, which does strategy research and consulting, and Bainbridge Capital Securities, Inc., a registered broker-dealer that trades as Bainbridge Investment Bank and advises on mergers and acquisitions. It has no connection to Bain & Company or Bain Capital. Vault's 2026 ranking places Bainbridge #43 among the Most Prestigious Consulting Firms in North America, and Vault lists the firm at 101 to 500 employees. Bainbridge doesn't publish an intern count, an acceptance rate or a conversion rate.

When Do Bainbridge Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
They don't open on a schedule. Bainbridge has no documented summer 2027 window, and none of the evidence points to a seasonal cycle. What exists is a short history of single postings. A remote Business Development Sales Intern role circulated through Handshake in August 2024. In spring 2025 the firm posted a Research Analyst Intern role and a Business Development Intern role; Built In's copies were removed on May 8 and May 24, 2025. We found no intern posting from 2026, and the board was empty on October 12, 2026.
The lead time is close to zero. The Business Development Intern posting said "Start Date: Immediately," so a role goes from posted to started within weeks. For a summer 2027 placement, that means a posting, if one comes, would be expected in spring 2027 at the earliest, not in fall 2026. Treat every date below as low confidence.
Documented: a remote Business Development Sales Intern posting circulated through Handshake and appeared in a university jobs digest.
Documented: Research Analyst Intern and Business Development Intern postings, both remote and part-time with a 90-day minimum. Built In's copies were removed on May 8 and May 24, 2025.
Nothing is posted. On October 12, 2026, Bainbridge's job board showed no open positions of any kind, and no internship for summer 2027 has been announced.
A single intern posting may reappear without notice, in term time as easily as before summer. Past roles started immediately, so apply in the first days it's up. This is an expectation based on two past posting periods, not a schedule.
No summer 2027 class is planned as far as Bainbridge has said. If an internship is posted in spring 2027, expect a part-time remote role with a 90-day minimum, not a 10-week cohort.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
There's no application week at Bainbridge, but the logic of applying early still holds, and more strongly. Each past posting was one team filling one need: the Business Development Intern posting said "Start Date: Immediately," and neither 2025 posting stated a deadline. A role like that closes when someone is hired. It doesn't wait for a date.
The practical version is to bookmark the job board and check it every week or two. If a role appears, send the resume and letter of interest within days. And don't plan your summer 2027 around it. With nothing posted since May 2025 that we could find, Bainbridge is a role to catch if it appears, alongside applications to firms with a real calendar.
Which Bainbridge Internship Programs Should You Target?
Bainbridge has no named internship program. These are the intern roles we can document, none of which was open on October 12, 2026.
| Role | What the intern did | Hours and terms | Posted pay and last seen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Research Analyst Intern, Private Equity | Secondary research from databases and industry reports, data analysis in Python or SQL, help with reports | 20 to 30 hours a week, flexible; 90-day minimum; remote, US-based | $18 to $22/hr; Built In copy removed May 8, 2025 |
| Business Development Intern, Private Equity | Outbound prospecting calls, qualifying leads, booking meetings, CRM records. A sales role, not a consulting analyst role | 15 to 20 hours a week; 90-day minimum; immediate start; remote, US-based | $18 to $20/hr; Built In copy removed May 24, 2025 |
| Business Development Sales Intern | Remote sales internship | Not captured | Circulated through Handshake in August 2024 |
| Content Marketing Intern, B2B Fintech | Content, SEO, research and social media, per an aggregator summary | Remote | Listed around March 2025; details unverified |
Check which internship you're looking at before you apply. The research role is analytical; the business development roles are outbound calling and appointment setting, and they build a different resume. Any new role would appear on the Bainbridge job board.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
These come from the two 2025 intern postings we could read in full, so a future role may differ:
• Research Analyst Intern, education: "Currently enrolled or recent graduate of accredited college/university program majoring in Business, Economics, Information Systems or a related field."
• Business Development Intern, education: "Currently enrolled senior or recent graduate of BA/BS degree program in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field."
• Location: remote, and both postings say you must be based in the US.
• Experience: the research role wanted data analytics, data mining and secondary research experience, with primary research "highly preferred." The business development role preferred prior sales or customer service work.
• Time: part-time hours for at least 90 days.

Is There a GPA Cutoff or Class-Year Rule at Bainbridge?
Neither posting stated a GPA minimum. On class year, the research role was open to any enrolled student or recent graduate in a relevant major, while the business development role named seniors and recent graduates. So these aren't sophomore or junior summer programs; they're part-time jobs that students and new graduates can hold. Neither posting stated a work authorization or sponsorship policy. "Must be U.S. based" is a location rule, and it doesn't tell you whether the firm sponsors, so ask before you rely on it.

What Skills Does Bainbridge Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
The two postings ask for two different skill sets. Research and data for the analyst role: the posting lists "comprehensive secondary research using various databases, online sources, and industry reports," analysis of "complex datasets using statistical tools and software (e.g., Python, SQL)," and proficiency with "MS Suite, Salesforce, Python, SQL and similar tools." Communication runs through both: the research role wants "a knack for translating data into actionable insights," and the business development role is built on phone work. Sales tools for business development: "extensive outbound prospecting calls," lead qualification, and "CRM software and MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook)."
Note: We could read only two Bainbridge intern job descriptions in full, both from spring 2025. That's too few for a frequency chart, so the skills above are quoted directly from those two postings.
How Is Demand for Consulting Interns Moving Right Now?

For Bainbridge applicants: Bainbridge's own job board showed no open positions on October 12, 2026. Its past internships were posted one at a time and started immediately, so check the board regularly and keep other applications moving.

Build These Skills Before You Apply
Each skill from Bainbridge's research posting maps to a remote Externship that leaves you with a finished project.
| Skill (from real JDs) | JD evidence | Externship that builds it |
|---|---|---|
| Company and deal research | Research Analyst Intern: "Conduct comprehensive secondary research using various databases, online sources, and industry reports" | HP Tech Ventures Deal Sourcing & Startup Analysis |
| Data analysis | Research Analyst Intern: "Analyze complex datasets using statistical tools and software (e.g., Python, SQL)" | Breaking Games E-Commerce Data Analysis & Strategy |
| Strategy reporting | Research Analyst Intern: "detailed reports to stakeholders, emphasizing strategic insights and industry expertise" | Lean Startup Co. Corporate Strategy Externship Mentored by Eric Ries |
| Financial modeling for M&A | The firm's investment bank advises on "M&A transactions, recapitalizations, and growth financings" | Yinan Zhao Investing & Financial Modeling |
The deal sourcing project is the closest fit, because Bainbridge's research interns supported work for private equity buyers.
What Is the Bainbridge Application and Interview Process Like?
Bainbridge doesn't publish interview rounds. This is what its careers page and past postings state:
1. Check the job board. Roles appear on Bainbridge's JazzHR board. The careers page itself had no apply link on October 12, 2026.
2. Send what's asked. Both 2025 postings asked for "a PDF version of resume and a brief letter of interest."
3. Interview. The firm says all candidates "must complete a formal, virtual or face-to-face interview with our recruiting team before any employment offer is made." The number of rounds and any test aren't published.
4. Verify the sender. Bainbridge says it "will never extend job offers via text or unsolicited email" and that real messages come from addresses ending in @bainbridge.com.
5. Start. The business development posting said "Start Date: Immediately," with a 90-day minimum commitment.
The scam warning matters here. A remote, part-time internship at a firm whose name resembles Bain's is easy to imitate, so check the address before you reply. Our behavioral interview guide helps with the interview itself.
What the Community Says
First-hand accounts of Bainbridge internships are scarce. We found one intern review on Indeed and one passing Reddit comment, and nothing on Vault's internship reviews.
A Research Analyst Intern described a sharp, motivated team, leaders who were open to new perspectives and projects that varied a lot. The reviewer also felt the pay was above what similar roles offer.
Answering a student looking for investment banking internships in San Diego, one commenter named Bainbridge as the largest of three local banks and said none of them lean heavily on internships.
How Do You Stand Out for a Bainbridge Internship?
Three moves. First, search the right firm. Bainbridge isn't Bain & Company or Bain Capital, and its applications run through its own job board. Use that board and trust only @bainbridge.com email. Second, match the role you're applying to. For a research role, show data work with the tools the posting named (Python, SQL, Excel, Salesforce) and any primary research, such as interviews or surveys you ran yourself. For a business development role, show phone or customer-facing experience and comfort with a CRM. Third, show you can do part-time remote work well. These roles ran 15 to 30 hours a week for at least 90 days, often during term. Say how many hours you can give and when, and send exactly what's asked: a PDF resume and a short letter of interest. Bainbridge publishes no applicant count, class size or conversion rate.

What Other Companies Should You Consider?
If you need an internship with a set summer 2027 date, these firms run one. Bain & Company is the firm Bainbridge is most often confused with.

FAQ
Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Bainbridge internship?
No, and there wasn't a summer 2026 class to apply to. Bainbridge posts individual remote, part-time internships at irregular times, and on October 12, 2026 its job board showed no open positions. The last intern postings we can document were removed in May 2025. Check the board for new roles.
Is Bainbridge the same as Bain & Company?
No. Bainbridge is an independent strategy research and M&A advisory firm founded in 1975 by Boulton Bainbridge Miller. Bain & Company is a different, much larger consulting firm with its own structured internship, and Bain Capital is a separate investment firm. Bainbridge's jobs appear only on its own board.
When do Bainbridge internship applications open for summer 2027?
There's no summer 2027 window. Bainbridge hasn't announced a summer class, and its past intern postings appeared in August 2024 and March to May 2025 with immediate start dates. A new posting could appear in any month. For a summer 2027 role, spring 2027 is the earliest realistic timing, at low confidence.
How much do Bainbridge interns get paid?
The two 2025 postings we could read listed hourly pay: $18 to $22 an hour for the Research Analyst Intern role and $18 to $20 an hour for the Business Development Intern role. Both were part-time. Those figures come from Built In's copies of Bainbridge's postings, so a future role may pay differently.
Are Bainbridge internships remote?
The ones we found were. Both 2025 postings described the location as a "Remote digital office (work from home)" and said the intern must be based in the US. The firm's site lists phone lines for Boston, New York and London, and Vault lists San Diego as its headquarters.
How long is a Bainbridge internship?
At least 90 days, part-time. The Research Analyst Intern posting asked for 20 to 30 flexible hours a week with a 90-day minimum commitment, and the Business Development Intern posting asked for 15 to 20 hours a week with the same minimum. Neither stated an end date or a maximum length.
Who can apply for a Bainbridge internship?
Current students and recent graduates. The research role asked for a current student or recent graduate majoring in business, economics, information systems or a related field. The business development role asked for an enrolled senior or recent graduate in business, economics, finance or marketing. Neither stated a GPA minimum.
How do you apply for a Bainbridge internship?
Through Bainbridge's own job board, when a role is posted. Past postings asked for a PDF resume and a brief letter of interest. The firm says every candidate completes a formal interview before any offer, and that it never makes offers by text or unsolicited email, so check the sender's address.
Bainbridge has no summer window to aim for, so keep an eye on its board and keep building. A remote Externship gives you a finished research or data project to show when a role does appear, at Bainbridge or at a firm with a set summer class.
