Andersen Corporation, the window and door maker in Bayport, Minnesota, has 13 intern requisitions open on its Workday site, posted between 27 August and 12 October 2026. They cover engineering, supply chain, finance, IT, marketing, sustainability, HR and design, all in Minnesota, and pay between $21 and $27 an hour. None states a closing date, and the postings don't name a year, so we read them as summer 2027. In plain words, you apply this fall to intern next summer. Andersen has posted its intern wave in the last week of August three years running (29 August 2024, 27 to 28 August 2025, 27 August 2026). This is Andersen Corporation, not the Andersen tax and consulting firm.

Externships are short, remote programs where you finish a real project for a real company, most commonly over 8 weeks at 5 to 10 hours a week, so one can run alongside your Andersen application. The Attronica Financial Planning & Analysis Externship matches the finance intern role, and the Amazon Fulfillment Center Operational Strategy & People Analytics Externship fits supply chain. What Is an Andersen Corporation Internship?

An Andersen Corporation internship is a paid summer role at Andersen Windows & Doors, the Bayport, Minnesota maker whose postings call it the largest window and door manufacturer in North America, with more than 13,000 employees. Andersen's page describes its Internship Experience as a 12-week summer program with "meaningful, hands-on work experience", a manager and a mentor. Its brands include Renewal by Andersen. The current postings span engineering, supply chain, finance, IT, marketing, sustainability and HR. Andersen's 2023 page said 68 interns joined that summer.

When Do Andersen Corporation Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

Andersen runs one summer cohort and posts it in late summer. The 2026 wave went up between 27 August and 12 October, about seven to nine months before a May start (Andersen's 2023 page gives May to August). Its previous waves followed the same pattern: 29 August 2024 and 27 to 28 August 2025, the latter still listed on 17 October 2025. Both earlier waves are from archived captures of Andersen's old Avature board, which has since moved to Workday. The 2026 postings don't state a year, so the summer 2027 label is our inference.

Review and interviews. Andersen doesn't publish its stages, and says the recruiter shares the specific compensation package during the hiring process.

Winter 2026 to spring 2027EXPECTED

Expected: offers and logistics. Andersen hasn't published a schedule. Plan your housing early if you're coming from outside the Twin Cities area.

May to August 2027EXPECTED

Expected: the 12-week summer program, based on Andersen's 2023 page. Interns get a manager and a mentor and aren't eligible for benefits.

Late August 2027EXPECTED

Expected: summer 2028 requisitions, based on postings on 29 August 2024, 27 to 28 August 2025 and 27 August 2026. Three cycles make this a reasonably steady pattern.

How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

Andersen doesn't say whether it reviews on a rolling basis or when it closes a posting. What the record shows is that each requisition is a single seat for a specific team,, and the 2025 wave was still listed seven weeks after it opened. Roles don't all open on the same day either: they posted from 27 August to 12 October. Apply as soon as you've matched a posting to your degree, and don't wait for a deadline that Andersen may never announce.

Which Andersen Corporation Internship Programs Should You Target?

The 13 requisitions are role-specific, with their own pay band and location. Rates are the ranges printed on each posting.

Andersen also runs rotational new-graduate programs, which aren't internships. See Andersen's apply page for the Workday link.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

Rules are set per posting, and these are the ones that recur.

• Degree: pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field, with role-specific wording (for example IT: currently enrolled in a bachelor's program).

• GPA: a minimum 3.0 is listed under preferred qualifications in the HR, Marketing and Engineering postings, and "3.0 or above" in IT.

• Work authorization: the Marketing posting requires authorization to work in the US. The 13 postings contain no sponsorship sentence.

• Class year: not stated in any posting.

• Benefits: interns aren't eligible for benefits, per every posting. Pay is hourly.

Is the 3.0 GPA a Hard Cutoff?

Probably not. In the postings we read, the 3.0 appears under preferred qualifications, and the Electrical posting says "Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred." Andersen doesn't say whether exceptions exist, so a lower GPA with strong project experience is a judgment call, not a guaranteed rejection. Don't rely on it if you can avoid it.

What Skills Does Andersen Corporation Look For, and How Do You Build Them?

Thirteen postings across eight functions are too varied to count skills as percentages. The postings do repeat a few things: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams in the HR role, analytical and problem-solving skills, and project management in Marketing. IT lists software and project management methodologies and lean thinking, while Sustainability asks for life cycle assessment and green building frameworks such as LEED. Marketing interns work a deliverable with business value and rotate through marketing, sales and customer service.

Note: Thirteen requisitions across eight functions are too few and too different for a skill chart, which would overstate any single skill. Source: Andersen's Workday site, 26 October 2026.

What Is the Andersen Corporation Application and Interview Process Like?

Andersen doesn't describe its interview stages, so these steps follow its postings.

1. Choose a posting. Each of the 13 roles has its own requisition, location and pay band.

2. Apply on Workday. Use the link on Andersen's apply page, and check the preferred 3.0 GPA and your degree against the posting.

3. Interview. Andersen doesn't publish its stages, and we found no first-hand reports.

4. Compensation. The recruiter shares the specific package during the hiring process, within the band printed on the posting.

5. Start in May. Based on Andersen's 2023 page, interns begin with an orientation led by the campus recruiting team and are assigned a manager and a mentor.

What Students on Reddit Say

We found no Reddit threads about Andersen Corporation's internship, so there's nothing to quote. Its 2023 page profiles six interns, but that's Andersen's own marketing, not community feedback.

How Do You Stand Out for an Andersen Internship?

First, meet the posting: a 3.0 or above GPA and the right major for the role. Second, bring evidence of the work. Marketing interns analyze data for recommendations, finance interns work monthly reporting, and engineering interns support product and plant work, so a class project or a measured result carries weight. Third, apply to the specific posting and mention Minnesota in your plans, since all 13 roles are on site in the state. Andersen publishes no applicant counts or conversion rate.

FAQ

Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Andersen internship?

No. The summer 2026 program has ended, and its wave was posted in late August 2025. Andersen Corporation has 13 intern requisitions open now, posted between 27 August and 12 October 2026. They don't name a year, but their timing and Andersen's May to August pattern point to summer 2027.

Is Andersen hiring interns now?

Yes. Thirteen intern requisitions were live on Andersen's Workday site on 26 October 2026, across engineering, supply chain, finance, IT, marketing, sustainability, HR and design. None lists a closing date, so apply soon. Andersen has posted in the last week of August for three years running.

Which Andersen is this?

Andersen Corporation, the window and door manufacturer in Bayport, Minnesota, which owns Andersen Windows & Doors and Renewal by Andersen. It isn't the Andersen tax and consulting firm, which is a separate employer. All details in this guide come from Andersen Corporation's own pages and Workday site.

How much do Andersen interns make?

The postings print hourly ranges between $21.00 and $27.00 depending on the role: Engineering $24.00 to $27.00, Finance $22.00 to $25.00, Marketing $22 to $24 and Customer Experience $21.00 to $25.00. The HR posting states no range. Interns aren't eligible for benefits.

What GPA do you need for an Andersen internship?

Most postings list a 3.0 GPA, but under preferred qualifications, and the Electrical Engineering posting says a minimum 3.0 is preferred. Andersen doesn't say whether it makes exceptions, so a 3.0 or above is the safe target. Some postings give no GPA wording at all.

Where are Andersen's internships?

All 13 current postings are in Minnesota: seven in Bayport, five in Oak Park Heights and one in Cottage Grove. A past wave also had a Phoenix, Arizona construction management intern in 2025. The 2023 page says some interns worked hybrid or remotely in earlier years, but 2026 postings don't say.

Do Andersen interns get full-time offers?

Andersen says many interns continue to work there after the program, but it publishes no conversion rate. It also runs rotational new-graduate programs, such as IT and quality, in other years. Ask your manager about return offers early, because these are separate from the internship postings.

When does the Andersen internship run?

Andersen's 2023 program page describes a 12-week summer program, beginning in May and ending in August. The 2026 postings don't restate dates or a year, so treat May to August 2027 as our best reading and confirm start dates with the recruiter once you have an interview.

Andersen's 13 intern roles are open now with no closing date, so apply while they're live. To bring a finished project to the interview, a remote Externship can run alongside your application.
