Last updated: October 2026
Agilent doesn't run a campus recruiting season. Its own careers page says it hires throughout the year, and its Intern Program is paid and lasts 3 to 12 months. In 2026 the US roles arrived in small clusters: we saw six US intern requisitions between August 22 and October 21, and on October 26 none is open on Agilent's student job site. In plain words: there is no summer 2027 deadline to hit. You set a job alert and apply within days of a US intern role appearing, because the last six stayed visible for only about 2 to 5 weeks.
Quick Facts
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Where to apply | Agilent's student job site (Workday), linked from the students and graduates page. Create an account and turn on Job Alerts. Sales internships can also post on a second system, Agilent's SmartRecruiters page. The main experienced-hire board had no intern titles when we checked |
| Application window (2027–28) | No fixed window, and nothing open for US interns today (checked October 26, 2026). Agilent says it hires throughout the year instead of following a typical campus cycle. In 2026 we saw US intern requisitions appear in February (a sales internship program), April (an AI intern in the Bay Area) and between August 22 and October 21 (six more). The next one will post whenever a team needs it; no month is predictable |
| Rolling? | Requisition by requisition, with no published deadlines. The six August to October requisitions each stayed visible for roughly 2 to 5 weeks, and one for a single day, according to our own daily collection (bounds on Agilent's dates, not the dates themselves) |
| Eligibility | Agilent describes interns as doing a sponsored internship assignment or a final degree thesis relevant to their field of study. The US intern postings closed before we could read class-year, GPA or work-authorization rules, so we don't state them |
| Duration | 3 to 12 months, per Agilent's description of the Intern Program. Postings we saw printed no start dates |
| Compensation | Paid, per Agilent's students page. The hourly rate isn't published on Agilent's own pages that we could read |
| Return offers | No rate published. Agilent says its graduate hires can include current or former interns converted to regular full-time roles |
| Locations | US roles seen in 2026: Wilmington, DE (Agilent's Americas sales and service hub), US remote locations and the Bay Area, CA. US headquarters: Santa Clara, CA |
| # Programs | 1 umbrella Intern Program filled requisition by requisition. 0 US intern requisitions open on the student site today, plus 1 standing sales internship listing on SmartRecruiters with no description |
The row that matters most: no US intern role is open on Agilent's student site today, and roles appear one at a time all year, so a job alert beats a calendar date.
Externships are short, remote programs where you finish a real project for a real company, most often in 8 weeks at 5 to 10 hours a week. With no Agilent role open, the quiet weeks are the time to build proof: the SQL & Database Architecture with Breaking Games Externship practices the data work behind a sales-prospecting analysis, and the ARCeH Data Analytics, Health Outcomes Externship works with health data. What Is an Agilent Internship?
An Agilent internship is a paid placement of 3 to 12 months at Agilent Technologies, the Santa Clara, California maker of life science instruments. Agilent's page describes it as a sponsored internship assignment or a final degree thesis in your field, hired throughout the year rather than in one campus wave. Students work in functions such as R&D, manufacturing, IT, marketing, finance, sales and customer support. Agilent's US page cites more than 5,200 US employees but is undated. This page covers Agilent Technologies only, not Keysight, the electronics company that Agilent spun off in 2014. Agilent doesn't publish a class size.

When Do Agilent Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Agilent doesn't post on a calendar. Its careers page says the company hires throughout the year because its business needs differ by place and time. The US dates we can document: a sales internship program listed on SmartRecruiters on February 3, 2026; an AI intern in the Bay Area, captured by the Wayback Machine on April 12, 2026; and six US intern requisitions our collector saw between August 22 and October 21. On about October 23 a graduate-only Campus Hire req went up, which is a full-time role, not an internship. Postings print no start dates, so we can't compute a lead time. Treat the next opening as undated.
No US intern requisition is open on Agilent's student job site. The six we tracked, from August 22 to October 21, are closed. One standing sales internship listing on SmartRecruiters is active but has no description.
Create your account on the student site and turn on Job Alerts. Agilent's own FAQ describes the alerts, and with roles visible for only about 2 to 5 weeks, the alert is how you find out in time.
Expected, with no month we can defend. In 2026 US roles appeared in February, April and August to October, so check the student site and SmartRecruiters weekly as well.
Screening by the recruitment team, then at least one interview with an Agilent representative, in person or by video, then an offer. Agilent says it doesn't interview by chat or email.
3 to 12 months. Start dates weren't printed on the postings we saw. If you're within 24 months of finishing your degree, Agilent's separate Graduate Hire route is the full-time door.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
Agilent publishes no deadlines, so the pattern is the evidence. The six US intern requisitions we tracked stayed visible for about 2 to 5 weeks, and one appeared in our data for a single day. That makes this a short window that opens without notice, not a season you can plan around. Apply in the first days after a role appears. These are our daily-collection dates, a bound on when each posting was live, not Agilent's posting or closing dates.
Which Agilent Internship Programs Should You Target?
Agilent has one Intern Program and fills it requisition by requisition. These are the US roles we saw in 2026, all closed now except the standing sales listing.
| Role | Focus | Where | Status Oct 26, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Life Sciences Technical Sales Intern, Chromatography & Mass Spec | Technical sales of chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments | Wilmington, DE | Closed (seen Sep 10 to Oct 10) |
| Life Sciences Technical Sales Internship, Cellular and Molecular Research | Technical sales for cell and molecular research instruments | US remote locations | Closed (seen Sep 20 to Oct 20) |
| Intern, Predictive Sales Prospecting | Data-driven sales prospecting | Five US remote locations | Closed (seen Sep 16 to Sep 30) |
| Electrical Engineering Intern | Electrical engineering | Wilmington, DE | Closed (seen Sep 19 to Oct 19) |
| Video Production Intern; Community Operations Intern | Video production; community operations across several East Coast sites | Wilmington, DE; 11 US locations | Closed (seen Aug 22 to Sep 21; Aug 26 to 27) |
| Agilent Americas Sales Internship Program | Sales; the posting has no description | Wilmington, DE | Active on SmartRecruiters, posted Feb 3, 2026 |
The Campus Hire Program (an Analytical Field Service Representative role in Wilmington, DE) is a full-time graduate hire, not an internship. See the students and graduates page for the Graduate Hire definition. The 'seen' dates come from our collector, not Agilent.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Agilent's US intern postings closed before we could read their requirements, so this is what Agilent's own pages say.
• What an intern does: a sponsored internship assignment or a final degree thesis relevant to your field of study.
• Functions that hire students: R&D, manufacturing, IT, marketing, finance, sales and customer support, per Agilent's FAQ.
• Class year, GPA, work authorization: not readable in the closed US postings, and Agilent's pages don't state them. Check the posting you apply to.
• Graduates: the Graduate Hire route is for people who finished a degree within the 24 months before their start date. It's a full-time role, not an internship.

Do You Have to Be a Science Major?
No. The 2026 US roles included video production, community operations, predictive sales prospecting and electrical engineering, so business, communications and data students had openings alongside science majors. The technical sales roles named chromatography, mass spectrometry and cellular research, where a science background is the obvious fit, but we couldn't read their requirements to say it was mandatory.
What Skills Does Agilent Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
We can't give you a skills breakdown from job descriptions, because all six US intern requisitions closed before we could read them. What the titles tell us: technical sales for chromatography, mass spectrometry and cellular research instruments, predictive sales prospecting that implies data work, electrical engineering, video production and community operations. Agilent's own page promises real projects, mentorship and exposure to senior leaders, with no skill list.
Note: No skill chart: the six US intern requisitions we tracked (August 22 to October 21, 2026) closed before their text could be read, and no US intern posting was open on October 26, 2026. We won't build percentages from job titles.
How Is Demand for Sales Interns Moving Right Now?
Sales intern postings · Sep vs Aug 2026
vs 1,421 in August
For Agilent applicants: Agilent's student job site listed 30 openings on October 26, 2026, and none was a US internship, so the national trend below doesn't mean a role is waiting.
Daily US job-posting counts, Sep 1–30 vs Aug 1–31, 2026. Covers under half of US postings; shows direction, not market size. Pay = median of employer-published ranges only (90 postings in September, 51 in August).
Build These Skills Before You Apply
The roles Agilent filled in 2026 map to skills you can practice now, using the job titles as the evidence.
| Skill (from real JDs) | JD evidence | Externship that builds it |
|---|---|---|
| Data-driven sales prospecting | Intern, Predictive Sales Prospecting (title; five US remote locations) | SQL & Database Architecture with Breaking Games |
| Life science data analysis | Technical Sales Internship, Cellular and Molecular Research (title) | ARCeH Data Analytics, Health Outcomes |
| Sales and partnership skills | Technical Sales Intern, Chromatography & Mass Spec (title) | Khan Academy Strategic Partnerships & Growth |
| Operations and process analysis | Community Operations Intern (title; 11 US locations) | Amazon Fulfillment Center Operational Strategy & People Analytics |
| Instrumentation and sensors | Electrical Engineering Intern (title) | Hydroficient Advanced: IoT Cyber Defense |
These are adjacent skills, not matches. No open Externship teaches chromatography, mass spectrometry or instrument sales, so the rows build the data, operations and partnership habits that sit around those jobs.
What Is the Agilent Application and Interview Process Like?
Agilent's FAQ describes a short, online-first process.
1. Create an account. Sign in or register on the Agilent student job site, open the role and click Apply. Set Job Alerts here too.
2. Screening. The recruitment team reviews applications against the role.
3. Interview. At least one interview with an Agilent representative, in person or by video. Agilent says it doesn't interview by chat or email.
4. Offer. Agilent communicates the decision to you directly.
Agilent warns about recruitment fraud: it never asks for money, tax forms, or bank or card details. It publishes no interview questions and no timing between steps.
What We Found on Reddit
Nothing we can use. The Agilent threads we found cover full-time field service, instrument lifetimes and a decade-old Keysight role, none about an Agilent internship. We'd rather show no quotes than borrow someone else's experience.
How Do You Stand Out for a Year-Round Program?
First, be ready before a role exists. Roles stayed visible for about 2 to 5 weeks in 2026, so keep a resume tailored to technical sales, engineering or data roles and apply in the first days. Second, show the project: Agilent's program centers on a sponsored assignment or degree thesis, so a finished class or Externship project is your proof. Third, match your degree to a function using the degree-match guide linked from the students page. Agilent doesn't publish a class size, applicant counts or a conversion rate; it says only that graduate hires can include converted interns.

FAQ
Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Agilent internship?
No. Summer 2026 is over, and the six US intern requisitions we tracked between August 22 and October 21, 2026 are all closed. Agilent hires interns throughout the year instead of by season, so set a job alert on its student site to catch the next US role.
When do Agilent internship applications open?
There's no set window. Agilent says it hires throughout the year, and US intern roles appeared in February, April and August to October 2026. Each stayed visible for roughly 2 to 5 weeks. No US intern role was open on October 26, 2026, and the next opening has no predictable month.
Is Agilent hiring interns right now?
Not in the US on its student site as of October 26, 2026, where the only US early-career role is a graduate Campus Hire. One sales internship listing is active on SmartRecruiters with no description. Non-US interns are listed in Spain, Malaysia, Brazil and China.
How long is an Agilent internship?
Agilent says its Intern Program hosts paid interns for 3 to 12 months on a sponsored internship assignment or a final degree thesis relevant to their field of study. The postings we saw printed no start dates, so length and timing are set role by role.
How much do Agilent interns get paid?
Agilent's students page says the internships are paid but doesn't print an hourly rate, and the closed US postings couldn't be read. So the amount isn't published on Agilent's own pages, and we leave out third-party figures. Check the pay range in any posting you open on Agilent's student site.
Where do I apply for an Agilent internship?
Apply on Agilent's student job site on Workday, where you create an account, open a role and click Apply. Sales internships can also appear on Agilent's SmartRecruiters page. The experienced-hire board listed no intern titles when we checked, so it isn't the place to look.
Is the Agilent Campus Hire Program an internship?
No. It's a full-time graduate hire, such as the Analytical Field Service Representative role in Wilmington, DE, with about four months of onboarding and training. Agilent defines graduate hires as people who finished a degree within 24 months before their start date, and says they can include converted interns.
Does Agilent convert interns to full-time employees?
Agilent publishes no conversion rate. Its Graduate Hire description says graduate hires can be current or former interns, converted to regular full-time roles or rehired after graduation. Treat any percentage you see on job-board or review sites as unverified until Agilent publishes one itself.
Set your Agilent job alert today, then use the wait to finish something you can show. A remote Externship gives you a real data or business project to talk about the day a role opens.
