The New York Jets run three early-career programs, and only one is for students. The Summer Internship Program is paid hourly, lasts about 8 to 12 weeks and is for students entering their senior year. The Seasonal Internship Program and the Flight Academy are for recent university graduates. As of 17 October 2026 no summer 2027 internship is posted, and the one program open is the Flight Academy, a sales program for recent graduates at $16.50 an hour, posted on 6 October and listed through 1 June 2027. In plain words: if you'll be a senior in fall 2027, expect to apply in spring 2027 for a summer 2027 internship; if you've already graduated, the Flight Academy is open now.

No Jets summer 2027 internship was posted on 17 October 2026; one is expected in spring 2027. The open program is the Flight Academy, which is for recent graduates.

The Jets' open sales program asks for prospecting and pipeline work, and their summer roles cover sales, marketing and football analytics, so a finished project helps. Externships are short, remote programs where you complete a real project for a real company, most commonly over 8 weeks. What Is a New York Jets Internship?

A New York Jets internship is a paid, in-person role with the NFL club, based at the team's Florham Park, New Jersey training facility. The Jets list three programs on their careers page. The Summer Internship Program runs about 8 to 12 weeks for students entering their senior year. The Seasonal Internship Program runs about 6 months for recent university graduates. The Flight Academy is a paid ticket and premium sales program, also for recent graduates. The Jets call the people in these programs interns or associates, and all must relocate to New Jersey. MetLife Stadium, which the Jets share with the Giants, is a separate employer with its own internships.

When Do New York Jets Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

The Jets publish no application dates for any program, so this timeline is part evidence and part projection. The evidence: the Flight Academy posting went up on 6 October 2026, is listed through 1 June 2027 and names start dates in January, March and June 2027. The projection: a summer program that runs about 8 to 12 weeks has to post before it starts, so we expect the summer 2027 internship and the Seasonal Internship in spring 2027. That's low confidence. A spring posting would sit roughly 2 to 3 months before a May or June start.

Now · October 2026YOU ARE HERE

No summer 2027 internship is posted. The Flight Academy - Sales Associate role is open, for recent graduates. A Seasonal Production Assistant role is also listed through 28 November 2026, but it asks for 1 to 3 years of production experience.

January to March 2027

Flight Academy cohorts begin in January and March 2027 per the open posting, so recent graduates who want the earliest start should apply now. Juniors should line up their résumé and check TeamWork Online weekly.

~Spring 2027EXPECTED

Applications for the summer 2027 internship, and for seasonal internships starting in May, June or July, are expected to post. The Jets publish no dates, so apply the week a role appears.

1 June 2027

The Flight Academy listing runs through this date, and the posting names a June 2027 start.

Summer 2027

The Summer Internship Program runs about 8 to 12 weeks depending on the role. Seasonal interns start in May, June or July for about 6 months.

How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

The Jets publish no closing dates for internships, and their Flight Academy posting warns that the volume of resumes is high and that they can't update candidates on status. We can't prove a deadline either way, so the safest plan is to apply the week a role appears and not to wait for a reminder. For the Flight Academy, the posting names January, March and June 2027 start dates, so applying now is the only way to be considered for the earliest one. Don't follow up by phone or email; the posting asks candidates not to.

Which New York Jets Internship Programs Should You Target?

The Jets' careers page lists three programs, and your class year decides which one is yours.

Summer roles cover areas such as Sales & Service, Football Operations, Football Analytics, Scouting and Field & Grounds; seasonal roles cover partnerships, ticket sales, communications, marketing, content and football departments. The open Seasonal Production Assistant role isn't an internship, since it asks for 1 to 3 years of production experience. See the Jets careers page.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

Your class year decides the program:

• Summer Internship Program: "entering their senior year of college", so you're a junior now if you want summer 2027.

• Seasonal Internship Program: "a recent university graduate", per the Jets. This one isn't for students still in school.

• Flight Academy: recent university graduates; the current posting prefers a bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, sports management or similar.

• Relocation: all three require you to relocate to New Jersey for the program.

• Availability: the Flight Academy role is in person Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:30, plus home games and events.

• GPA and work authorization: not stated on the Jets' pages.

I'm a Sophomore or Senior. What's Open to Me?

The Jets' only student program is for students entering their senior year, so sophomores have nothing there yet and should use the time to build proof. Seniors who graduate in 2027 can look at the Seasonal Internship and the Flight Academy once they've graduated, since both are for recent graduates, and the Flight Academy is open now.

What Skills Do the New York Jets Look For, and How Do You Build Them?

The only live posting is the Flight Academy, and it's specific. Sales: build a pipeline by self-prospecting and cold calling 120+ potential clients a day, run face-to-face meetings and be involved in revenue-generating activity from lead to close. Communication: strong relationship-building, presentation and written and oral skills. Resilience: the posting asks for people who can handle rejection and stay motivated. For summer and seasonal roles, the Jets' pages name departments rather than skills, so check each posting when it appears.

Note: No bar chart for this page. The Jets have one student-relevant posting open, the Flight Academy, which is for graduates, so there's no sample to count. The skills above come from that posting and the careers page.

For Jets applicants: the Jets' TeamWork Online page listed two jobs on 17 October 2026, a Flight Academy sales role for recent graduates and a seasonal production role, and no student internship. MetLife Stadium, a separate employer, has its own Summer 2027 internships posted.

Build These Skills Before You Apply

For the Flight Academy, a finished Externship shows you can work through a structured project, which supports the resilience and follow-through the posting asks for.

What Is the New York Jets Application and Interview Process Like?

The Jets don't publish an interview format. This is what their pages and the open posting show:

1. Choose by class year. Summer is for students entering their senior year; the Seasonal Internship and Flight Academy are for recent graduates.

2. Apply on TeamWork Online. Use the link on the Jets careers page; each role is its own posting.

3. Plan to relocate. All three programs require a move to New Jersey for the duration.

4. Expect little feedback. The Flight Academy posting says the Jets can't update candidates on status, and asks for no phone calls or emails.

5. Clear the background check. The posting says one is conducted before the position starts.

What Students on Reddit Say

The only Jets thread we could read is an 11-year-old post about event-day seasonal pay, not internships, and the other Jets hits are job-board reposts. We've left out quotes rather than pad this section.

How Do You Stand Out for a Jets Internship?

Three moves. First, apply to the program that matches your class year; the Jets spell out who each is for, and an application to the wrong one won't help. Second, match the posting. The Flight Academy wants someone who can cold call 120+ prospects a day and shrug off rejection, so bring sales, outreach or customer-facing experience and a clear reason you want a sales career. Third, be ready to relocate to New Jersey, because every program requires it. The Jets publish no applicant count or conversion rate, so treat the program itself as the goal. Also look at MetLife Stadium's separate Summer 2027 internships, which the Jets' pages mention as part of the wider business.

FAQ

Can I still apply for a summer 2026 New York Jets internship?

No. Summer 2026 is over, and no summer 2027 internship is posted as of 17 October 2026. The summer program is for students entering their senior year, so juniors are the target group. The Jets' open program is the Flight Academy, a sales program for recent graduates, not students.

Who can apply for the Jets summer internship?

Students entering their senior year of college, per the Jets' careers page. The program runs about 8 to 12 weeks depending on the role, pays an hourly rate and requires you to relocate to New Jersey. The Seasonal Internship and Flight Academy are separate programs for recent university graduates.

When do Jets summer 2027 internship applications open?

We expect spring 2027, but with low confidence. The Jets publish no application dates, and we couldn't read earlier postings from their own job system. Check their TeamWork Online page weekly from January and apply the week a summer role appears.

Is the Jets Flight Academy an internship?

No, it's a paid ticket and premium sales program for recent university graduates, with a bachelor's degree preferred. The current posting, listed through 1 June 2027, pays $16.50 an hour for a 6-month seasonal position and names January, March and June 2027 start dates.

Are New York Jets internships paid?

Yes. The Jets say the Summer Internship Program pays an hourly rate, but the amount isn't published on their pages. The Seasonal Internship is also paid, with no rate stated. The only published figure is the Flight Academy's $16.50 an hour on its current posting.

Do I have to relocate to New Jersey for a Jets internship?

Yes. The Jets' careers page says interns in the Summer and Seasonal programs, and Flight Academy participants, are required to relocate to New Jersey for the duration. The Jets' training facility is in Florham Park, and Flight Academy sales work is at MetLife Stadium or the Madison, NJ office.

Where do I apply for a Jets internship?

On the Jets' TeamWork Online page, which the Jets careers page links to. Each role is its own posting. The Jets can't update candidates on application status and ask for no phone calls or emails, so apply and then wait for them to contact you.

Is a MetLife Stadium internship the same as a Jets internship?

No. MetLife Stadium is the venue the Jets share with the Giants, and its operator posts its own internships, including Summer 2027 roles listed on TeamWork Online. They're separate employers with separate applications, so check the employer name on any posting before you apply.

No Jets summer internship is posted yet, and the first window is expected in spring 2027. Use the months before then to finish a remote Externship that fits the department you want; most take 5 to 10 hours a week.
