The New York Giants hire their football-season interns once a year, in spring, and they pay for it: the Communications Intern and Premium Sales & Service Intern postings for the 2026 season both state $18.00 an hour. On 17 October 2026 the Giants' own TeamWork Online board listed no internships at all, so the useful move now is to prepare. Here's the cycle in plain words: you apply around April to June 2027, you start about July 2027, and you work through the 2027 season. The 2026 Communications posting went up on 30 April 2026 and was listed for about two weeks, so the window is short. Don't confuse this with MetLife Stadium's internships, which are open now but unpaid and run by a different employer.

The Giants' roles ask for writing and design tools (Communications), video and content work, and CRM and sales data (Premium Sales & Service), so a finished project helps. Externships are short, remote programs where you complete a real project for a real company, most commonly over 8 weeks. The Beats by Dre Creative Advertising Strategy Externship fits the content and communications roles, and the Breaking Games E-Commerce Data Analysis & Strategy Externship fits premium sales and client service. What Is a New York Giants Internship?

A New York Giants internship is a paid, football-season role with the NFL team's front office in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Giants hire through New York Football Giants, Inc.; the 2026 Premium Sales & Service posting is filed under Giants Stadium LLC. There is no named program. Each spring the team posts separate intern roles, and the ones we found across the last three cycles include Communications, Content Production, Digital Platforms, Photography Production, Events & Fan Engagement, Corporate Partnerships, Client Services, Premium Sales and Suite Services. MetLife Stadium is a separate employer that posts its own internships, so a MetLife Stadium internship isn't a Giants internship. The Giants post their internships on TeamWork Online.

When Do New York Giants Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

The Giants hire on a short clock. Each football-season posting goes up in spring and stays listed for weeks, not months: the Communications Intern for the 2025 season was posted on 11 April 2025 and listed through 11 May. For the 2026 season, Communications went up on 30 April 2026 and was listed through 15 May; Premium Sales & Service was up by 16 May and listed through 1 June. The start is about July, so the lead time from posting to start is roughly 1 to 3 months. Two consecutive years in the same April to June band is the basis for expecting the 2027 season postings in April to June 2027.

The Giants' own board lists no internships, and the Content Production and Events & Gameday Operations postings we tested are closed. The Summer 2027 internships listed on the NFL jobs page belong to MetLife Stadium, are unpaid and are a different employer. Use this window to build proof.

Set a job alert on the Giants' TeamWork Online board and get your materials ready: résumé, writing samples, and a portfolio if you want content or design work. Seniors should plan around graduating before a July start.

~April to June 2027EXPECTEDSHORT WINDOW — APPLY WEEK 1

Football-season intern postings for the 2027 season are expected to go up, one department at a time. Last cycle's Communications role was listed for about two weeks. Apply the week a posting appears.

Late spring to summer 2027EXPECTED

Later postings are possible: the Events & Gameday Operations seasonal role has a higher posting number than the May 2026 roles, so it went up after them (its date wasn't read). Check the board every few weeks until the season starts.

~July 2027 to the end of the 2027 season

Start is about July, as on the 2026 Premium Sales & Service posting (40 hours a week from July through the end of the season). Expect nights, weekends and holidays tied to the NFL schedule.

How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

Each Giants posting is a short window, not a rolling one. The 2026 Communications Intern was listed for about two weeks, and the 2025 posting for one month, so a student who starts looking in June can miss most of the roles. The Giants also don't publish an applicant count, so we can't say how competitive any one role is. Set the TeamWork Online alert now, keep your materials ready, and apply the week a posting appears. The board is the only place the Giants post, and it was empty on 17 October 2026.

Which New York Giants Internship Programs Should You Target?

The Giants don't run a named program; they post separate roles each spring. The first two are the postings we could read in full for the 2026 season. The rest are titles seen in the board's archive.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

The Giants' postings are written for people who are finishing or have finished a bachelor's degree:

• Premium Sales & Service (2026): "a bachelor's degree or college senior."

• Communications (2026): a recently completed bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential, in communications, journalism, sports management, sports marketing or sports communications.

• Underclassmen: no posting we read was open to freshmen, sophomores or juniors.

• Availability: non-traditional hours, holidays and weekends tied to the NFL schedule. Premium Sales & Service is 40 hours a week from July through the end of the season.

• Transportation: the Premium Sales posting says you must have your own transportation to the training center and the stadium in East Rutherford.

• GPA, work authorization and academic credit: not stated in the postings we read.

Can Underclassmen Apply to the Giants?

Not through the postings we could read. Both 2026 season roles name a bachelor's degree or senior status, so this is a senior-year and recent-graduate route. If you're a freshman, sophomore or junior, MetLife Stadium's internships ask for juniors and seniors and are unpaid, but they are a different employer. Use the time to build a writing, content or sales project.

What Skills Do the New York Giants Look For, and How Do You Build Them?

We could read two Giants postings in full for the 2026 season, so the bars would rest on too small a base; here is what they ask for in words. Communications: layout in InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat, transcribing and distributing press conferences, and credential and press-box work on game days. Premium Sales & Service: client emails and calls, Salesforce and Archtics logging, group sales prospecting with ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and an end-of-internship presentation to management.

Note: We read two Giants intern postings in full (Communications and Premium Sales & Service, 2026 season), which is too few to chart. The skills above come straight from those two postings.

What Is the New York Giants Application and Interview Process Like?

The Giants don't publish an interview format. This is what the postings and the board show:

1. Watch the board. Follow the Giants' team page on TeamWork Online and set a job alert. Postings come down when the window ends.

2. Apply on TeamWork Online. The postings tell you to use the apply button and then fully complete the application on the follow-up screen.

3. Match the department. Communications wants writing and InDesign; Premium Sales & Service wants CRM and client-service experience.

4. Interview. Interview steps and timing aren't published. Expect questions about the department's work and your availability for game days.

5. Finish with a presentation. The Premium Sales & Service internship ends with a presentation on a subject set by management.

The Giants don't publish interview steps, class size or offer timing, so treat anyone quoting them with caution.

What Students on Reddit Say

We found no first-hand Giants intern threads on Reddit. The one r/nfl thread we read, from 2015, covers NFL league-office internships rather than the Giants, so we haven't quoted it.

How Do You Stand Out for a Giants Internship?

Three moves. First, be ready before the posting appears. The Giants list roles for weeks, not months, so keep your résumé, writing samples and a portfolio link done by March and check the board often from April. Second, apply to the department, not the team. The Communications role wants InDesign and clean writing; Premium Sales & Service wants Salesforce, Archtics and polite persistence on the phone. Third, plan your senior year around it. Both 2026 postings point to seniors and recent graduates, and a July start means your last term has to end in time. The Giants don't publish an applicant count or a conversion rate, so treat the internship as the foot in the door and ask about full-time paths once you're in.

FAQ

Can I still apply for a summer 2026 New York Giants internship?

No. The Giants hire football-season interns, and the 2026 postings (Communications, Premium Sales & Service, Content Production) are closed. The team's TeamWork Online board listed no internships on 17 October 2026. Postings for the 2027 season are expected around April to June 2027, for a start about July.

When do New York Giants internship applications open for 2027?

They're expected around April to June 2027. The 2025 Communications Intern was posted on 11 April 2025, and the 2026 one went up on 30 April 2026, both for a start about July. Windows were short, about two to four weeks, so check the board weekly from April.

Are New York Giants internships paid?

Yes, last cycle. Both 2026 season postings we read, Communications and Premium Sales & Service, state $18.00 an hour, and the Communications role is overtime-eligible. The 2027 rate isn't posted yet, so treat $18.00 as last year's figure. Listed benefits include a 401(k) plan and paid time off.

Are any Giants internships open right now?

No. The Giants' team board on TeamWork Online showed no job results on 17 October 2026, and the 2026 season internships we tested were all closed to new applications. The Summer 2027 internships listed on the NFL jobs page belong to MetLife Stadium, which is a separate employer.

Is a MetLife Stadium internship a Giants internship?

No. MetLife Stadium is a separate employer that posts its own Summer 2027 internships. They're open now, run May to August 2027, and its internships page says they're unpaid. The Giants' roles are paid, football-season positions posted under the Giants' own TeamWork Online board, so don't mix the two when comparing.

Can underclassmen apply for a Giants internship?

Not through the postings we read. Premium Sales & Service asked for a bachelor's degree or college senior, and Communications preferred a recently completed bachelor's degree. These are senior-year and recent-graduate roles. No posting we read was open to freshmen, sophomores or juniors, and no GPA minimum was stated.

Where do New York Giants interns work?

In East Rutherford, New Jersey, at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center and MetLife Stadium. The roles are in person, and the Premium Sales posting says you must arrange your own transportation to both sites. We saw no remote Giants internships. Hours include nights, weekends and holidays tied to the NFL schedule.

Is this the same as a San Francisco Giants or NFL internship?

No. The New York Giants are the NFL team in East Rutherford; the San Francisco Giants are an MLB club with separate hiring. The NFL's own league-office program is separate too, with a different calendar. See our NFL internship guide for the league office.

No Giants internships are open today, and the 2027 season postings are expected from April to June 2027. Set the alert, build a writing or sales project now, and if you want a finished piece to show, a remote Externship takes about 5 to 10 hours a week.
