Last updated: October 2026
Enbridge has two US student openings right now, both in Houston, and it hires them through a staffing partner. On 25 October 2026 its student job board, run by Raise, listed 16 openings: a Fixed Asset Intern for a four-month placement starting in May, and a 12-month Network Automation & Operations Co-op starting January 2027. The other 14 listings are in Canada. Students are "hired as contractors" through Raise, an Ian Martin Group affiliate, so you'd be employed by Raise, not Enbridge. In plain words, you apply this fall to start in January or May 2027. Enbridge doesn't publish pay or closing dates for these roles. This guide covers Enbridge's US student roles only.

Externships are short, remote programs where you finish a real project for a real company, most commonly over 8 weeks at 5 to 10 hours a week, so you can add a finished project to your resume before a January or May start. The Attronica Financial Planning & Analysis and Private Company Valuation Externship fits the accounting role, and the Hydroficient Advanced: IoT Cyber Defense Externship fits network and infrastructure work. What Is an Enbridge Internship?
An Enbridge internship is a paid student placement at Enbridge, the Calgary-based pipeline and energy company, hired through Raise rather than directly. Enbridge's post-secondary students page says students are "hired as contractors through our trusted partner RAISE, an Ian Martin Group affiliate", and its summer students work full-time for three to four months starting in May and June. Most of Enbridge's student roles are in Canada; the US share is two of 16 listings, so this is a thin page. There's no branded US intern program beyond these listings.

When Do Enbridge Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Enbridge's own page says "Recruitment starts in September for May and June placements." The student board matches it: its 16 listings were posted between 10 September and 23 October 2026, with the Houston Fixed Asset Intern going up on 19 October, about 6.5 months before a May start, and the Houston co-op on 21 October for a January 2027 start. We found no archived earlier cycle, so next year's timing rests on Enbridge's own statement and this one wave.
Applications are open for the two Houston listings: the Fixed Asset Intern (May) and the Network Automation & Operations Co-op (January 2027). New listings were still being added as recently as 23 October. Apply with your resume and current school transcripts, which the listings require.
Enbridge doesn't publish its interview schedule. Applicants on Reddit described a recorded video questionnaire about two weeks after applying. Join the student talent community so you hear about new rounds.
The 12-month Network Automation & Operations Co-op is listed to start. Other co-ops on the board start in January or May 2027, mostly in Canada.
Summer students start in May and June for three to four months, per Enbridge. The Fixed Asset Intern is a four-month placement starting in May.
Expected: the next round of student listings, based on Enbridge's statement that recruitment starts in September. This rests on one observed cycle, so treat it as an estimate.
How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.
Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
Enbridge shows no closing dates, and the board changes without notice. Five listings that were on the board on 17 October were gone by 25 October, including a Mechanical Engineering Summer Student role in Duluth, Minnesota, while ten new ones were posted between 19 and 23 October. So we can't call this rolling or fixed-deadline, but we can say listings can disappear. With only two US roles, apply to any that fit your major as soon as you see them.
Which Enbridge Internship Programs Should You Target?
The only US student openings on 25 October 2026 were these two, plus Enbridge's general student programs.
| Program | Focus | Duration | Key skills |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed Asset Intern (Houston) | Accounting support: unitizations, journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations | 4 months starting in May | Accounting or finance coursework, Excel and Office, attention to detail |
| Network Automation & Operations Co-op (Houston, Toronto, Calgary or Edmonton) | Day-2 operations of a shared automation platform; Ansible and infrastructure as code | 12 months starting January 2027 | Python or similar scripting, Git, APIs and REST |
| Summer students (general) | Paid full-time placements across fields from STEM and IT to finance and accounting | 3 to 4 months, May and June | Varies by role |
| Co-ops and internships through schools | Work-integrated learning posted on your school's job board | Varies | Varies by role |
The Enbridge post-secondary page lists the fields it hires from, including STEM, IT, cybersecurity, finance, accounting, supply chain and communications.
What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Both US listings use the same student rules.
• Enrollment: currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program and returning to full-time school immediately after the work term.
• Fixed Asset Intern: studying accounting or finance.
• Network Automation Co-op: studying computer science, software engineering, network or systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• Application package: a resume and current school transcripts.
• Work authorization and GPA: neither is stated on the listings.
• Relocation: assistance isn't provided.

Who Is Your Employer?
Raise, not Enbridge. The listings say they provide "contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge's Student Contractor Program" and that you'll be employed by Raise and not be an employee of Enbridge. Ask Raise what benefits, tax forms and work authorization checks apply, since the listings don't say, and check the details before accepting.
What Skills Does Enbridge Look For, and How Do You Build Them?
Only two US listings are live, so there's too little to count. Both ask for effective written and verbal communication, problem solving, teamwork, time management and Microsoft Office. The Fixed Asset Intern adds accounting practice: journal entries, month-end close and reconciliations. The co-op adds scripting in Python or a similar language, Git, and some exposure to APIs and REST, plus curiosity about infrastructure and automation.
Note: Two US listings are too few for a skill chart, which would overstate any single skill. Both are summarized above. Source: Enbridge's student board run by Raise, 25 October 2026.
How Is Demand for Accounting Interns Moving Right Now?
Accounting intern postings · Sep vs Aug 2026
vs 362 in August
For Enbridge applicants: Enbridge's student board listed 16 openings on 25 October 2026 and only 2 were in the US, one of them an accounting role. Use the market picture to see how crowded accounting intern hiring is, then apply to the Houston listing quickly.
Daily US job-posting counts, Sep 1–30 vs Aug 1–31, 2026. Covers under half of US postings; shows direction, not market size. Pay = median of employer-published ranges only (83 postings in September, 44 in August).
Build These Skills Before You Apply
Each row maps a task from Enbridge's two US listings to a remote Externship that produces a finished project.
| Skill (from real JDs) | JD evidence | Externship that builds it |
|---|---|---|
| Month-end close and reconciliations | Fixed Asset Intern: "Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis" | Attronica Financial Planning & Analysis and Private Company Valuation |
| Network and infrastructure automation | Co-op: "Write and maintain Ansible automation for network configuration and compliance remediation" | Hydroficient Advanced: IoT Cyber Defense |
| Data handling and records | Fixed Asset Intern: "Maintain accurate and organized financial records" | Breaking Games SQL & Database Architecture |
None of these Externships is affiliated with Enbridge. Most run about 8 weeks, so one started in November can finish before a January or May start.
What Is the Enbridge Application and Interview Process Like?
Enbridge doesn't publish an interview process. This combines its listings with two community reports.
1. Join the talent community. Enbridge asks students to create a profile for the next round, which takes under five minutes, and lists campusrecruitment@enbridge.com for questions.
2. Apply on the Raise board. Include your resume and current school transcripts; both listings require them.
3. Expect a video questionnaire. Applicants on r/EngineeringStudents described an Interviewstream questionnaire about two weeks after applying. That's from Canada-based students, so US timing may differ.
4. Sign with Raise. You'll be a contractor employed by Raise and placed at Enbridge.
What Students on Reddit Say
Two Reddit threads from Canada-based students describe the same Raise program. They're small samples, and neither is about the US roles.
Applicants to Enbridge's Student Contractor Program said they received an Interviewstream questionnaire about two weeks after applying. One applied on 28 January and was shortlisted a month later, then heard nothing more.
A student who worked as a summer student in project development said they spent much of the summer mastering Excel and attending meetings, and was asked back the next summer.
How Do You Stand Out for an Enbridge Student Role?
First, match the listing's field exactly: accounting or finance for the Fixed Asset Intern, computer science or network engineering for the co-op. Second, include the transcripts and resume the listings ask for, and apply quickly, since listings can disappear. Third, prepare for a recorded video questionnaire by practicing short, structured answers about safety, integrity and teamwork, three of Enbridge's stated values. Enbridge publishes no applicant counts or conversion rate.

FAQ
Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Enbridge internship?
No. Summer 2026 placements have ended. Enbridge's student board on 25 October 2026 lists roles starting in January 2027 and May 2027. Only two of its 16 listings are in the US, both in Houston, so check whether either fits your major before applying.
How many US openings does Enbridge have for students?
Two of 16 on 25 October 2026, both in Houston: a Fixed Asset Intern starting in May and a Network Automation & Operations Co-op starting January 2027. The co-op is also open in Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton. The other listings are in Alberta and Ontario.
Who employs Enbridge student interns?
Raise, an Ian Martin Group affiliate. Enbridge's page says students are hired as contractors through Raise, and the listings state you'll be employed by Raise and not be an Enbridge employee. Ask Raise about benefits and paperwork, because the listings don't describe them.
How much do Enbridge interns make?
Enbridge calls its summer student roles paid, but neither the two US listings nor Enbridge's page publishes an hourly rate. We left out third-party figures. Ask Raise for the rate when you're contacted, and note that the listings say relocation assistance isn't provided.
When do Enbridge summer 2028 applications open?
Enbridge hasn't said, but its page states recruitment starts in September for May and June placements. This cycle's listings were posted between 10 September and 23 October 2026, so expect September 2027. That's based on one observed cycle, so join the student talent community for updates.
Who can apply to Enbridge's student roles?
Students enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program who return to school after the work term. The Fixed Asset Intern wants accounting or finance students, and the co-op wants computer science, software or network engineering. The listings don't state a GPA minimum or work authorization rules, so confirm with Raise.
Does Enbridge post interns on its main careers site?
No. On 25 October 2026 its main Workday board listed 51 openings and none with an intern, co-op or student title. Student roles sit on the Raise board, and Enbridge says co-op and internship positions through schools are posted on your school's job board.
Does Enbridge offer relocation help for interns?
No. Both US listings say relocation assistance isn't provided, and the Fixed Asset Intern is an office-based role in Houston. The co-op is office-based in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton or Houston. Plan your own housing and moving costs before you accept a placement away from home.
Enbridge's two US student listings are open now, and listings can disappear without notice. Apply to any that fit, and use a remote Externship to add a finished project before a January or May start.
