Last updated: October 2026

Clark Nuber's summer 2027 internships are open now. On October 12, 2026, the firm's Workday job board showed three summer 2027 intern postings: audit, tax and client advisory services, all in its one office in downtown Bellevue, Washington. Each posting gives the same dates, June 21 to August 13, 2027, and the same published pay range, $28.57 to $42.77 an hour. All three went up on August 27, 2026, about 10 months before the start date, and each says it's "open until filled." In plain words: you apply during fall 2026, you intern in summer 2027.

There's no deadline to aim for, and that's the risk. A posting that's open until filled can come down the day its last seat is offered.

What Is a Clark Nuber Internship?

A Clark Nuber internship is a paid, eight-week summer program at Clark Nuber PS, a public accounting and consulting firm with a single office in downtown Bellevue, Washington. Interns join one of three teams (audit, tax or client advisory services), work 40 hours a week in the office, and are paired with a mentor the firm calls a Talent Advisor. The postings describe a firm with "over 70 years of experience" and "over 300 skilled professionals." Clark Nuber ranks No. 88 on Accounting Today's 2026 Top 100, and the firm's release says it's the only single-office firm on that list. It's also No. 47 on Vault's current Most Prestigious Accounting Firms list. The firm's campus recruiting page says interns receive the same training as new hires.

When Do Clark Nuber Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?

Clark Nuber posted all three summer 2027 internships on August 27, 2026, about 10 months before the June 21, 2027 start, and none of them states a closing date. The open date moves from year to year: a copy of last cycle's summer 2026 tax posting on Built In Seattle was removed on July 17, 2025, so that wave was up by mid-July. For that reason, applications for summer 2028 are expected to open between July and late August 2027, a projection from those two cycles. The firm's campus page also mentions winter internships, but no winter posting is on the board today and we found none for 2026 or 2027.

Now · mid-October 2026YOU ARE HEREROLLING — APPLY WEEK 1

Applications for summer 2027 are open right now on all three tracks: audit, tax and client advisory services. The postings have been up since August 27, 2026 and close when the seats are filled.

Rest of fall 2026EXPECTED

Summer 2027 applications are reviewed as they arrive. Expect a first interview with an HR recruiter, then one or two more with two interviewers each. Offer timing isn't published, and a posting can close without notice.

Winter to spring 2027EXPECTED

If a summer 2027 posting is still on the board, it's still open; if it's gone, that track is full. No winter 2027 internship is posted. The firm's part-time Junior Accountant roles are offered as needed, and none is posted today.

June 21 to August 13, 2027

The summer 2027 internship: eight weeks, 40 hours a week, 8am to 5pm in the Bellevue office, with a Talent Advisor, shadowing of shareholders and associates, and client visits.

July to late August 2027EXPECTEDROLLING — APPLY WEEK 1

Applications for summer 2028 are expected to open. This cycle's postings went up on August 27; last cycle's were up by mid-July. Clark Nuber posts them as open until filled, so plan to apply in the first week.

How to read this page: our dates come from tracking previous recruiting cycles and daily posting data. Treat them as informed estimates based on historical patterns, not confirmed dates. The company's official careers page is always the most current source. If a role is posted there, go by that, even if this page suggests the window hasn't opened yet.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open

Clark Nuber's process is rolling, and the evidence is in the postings themselves. All three summer 2027 internships end with the same line: the position is "open until filled." None gives a deadline, a review date or a number of seats. The postings have been live since August 27, 2026, so by mid-October the firm has had more than six weeks of applications. This is one office, and the firm doesn't publish its class size, so nobody outside can tell how many seats are left. Treat today as the deadline. If you're planning for summer 2028 instead, the same logic applies: the next postings are expected between July and late August 2027, and the first week they appear is the safest week to apply.

Which Clark Nuber Internship Programs Should You Target?

Clark Nuber has three summer 2027 internships open, one per service line, plus two other student routes that aren't internships.

Every role is on the Clark Nuber Workday board, and the firm's campus recruiting page describes each student role. Its Accounting Preview Day for associate-degree students is a half-day event, separate from the internship.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

The three summer 2027 postings share one set of requirements:

• CPA intent: the first line of each posting's requirements is "Planning to pursue the CPA license upon graduation."

• Major: "Accounting majors are preferred, although other majors will be considered."

• Work authorization: you must be able to work in the U.S. without employment sponsorship now or in the future. The postings rule out candidates who'll need a visa such as H-1B and say the firm is "unable to support the OPT Training Visa."

• Class year and GPA: neither is stated in any of the three postings.

• Location: in the Bellevue office, 8am to 5pm, for all eight weeks. The postings offer no remote option.

Is There a GPA Cutoff at Clark Nuber?

Not a published one. None of the three postings names a GPA or a class year, and each adds that the firm "may consider an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications." The postings also encourage people who don't match every line to apply. The two requirements that work as screens are CPA intent and work authorization: if you'll need sponsorship later, including after OPT, the postings say the firm won't consider the application.

What Skills Does Clark Nuber Look For, and How Do You Build Them?

All three postings ask for the same core: strong written and oral communication, a plan to earn the CPA license, and "the ability to think creatively to bring solutions to clients." The technical skills depend on the track. Audit names "vouching, tracing, and reconciling" on employee benefit plans, plus engagement planning and documentation. Client advisory services names GAAP-based accounting, accounts payable and receivable work, and process improvement. For tax, this cycle's posting repeats the audit text, so we took the duties from last cycle's summer 2026 tax posting: "investigating tax statutes and preparing a variety of tax returns and documents for both businesses and individuals." No posting names a software package.

What Is the Clark Nuber Application and Interview Process Like?

Clark Nuber's student FAQ, dated August 30, 2024, lays out the steps:

1. Apply on the firm's own site. The FAQ says all positions must be applied to through its internal site, with a resume and a cover letter.

2. First interview with HR. The college recruiting process "begins with an interview between you and a member of our HR recruiting team."

3. One or two more interviews. Each has two interviewers, representing HR and the team you'd join.

4. Offer. Timing isn't published, and the postings stay open until filled.

The firm says it recruits "throughout the year at major campuses around Washington state," but it publishes no school list, and its recruiting calendar showed no events when we checked. Our behavioral interview guide helps with the HR round.

What Students on Reddit Say

Reddit has no first-hand account of a Clark Nuber internship or interview. The firm comes up in r/Accounting only as a Seattle-area alternative to the national firms, so we haven't built quote cards from those threads. The firm's own student FAQ is the best process source.

How Do You Stand Out for a Clark Nuber Internship?

Three moves. First, write the cover letter. The firm's FAQ asks for a resume and a cover letter, and at a single-office firm that's where you explain why Bellevue and why this track. Second, say plainly that you plan to sit for the CPA exam. It's the first requirement on every posting. Non-accounting majors can apply, so tie your coursework to the track you chose. Third, pick the track on purpose. Audit interns here test employee benefit plans, client advisory interns handle bookkeeping and AP and AR work, and tax interns research and prepare returns. Because this cycle's tax posting repeats the audit description, ask the recruiter to confirm the tax duties. Clark Nuber publishes no class size, applicant count or conversion rate. Its campus page does say associates are hired without a prior internship, so a missed summer isn't a closed door.

FAQ

Can I still apply for a summer 2026 Clark Nuber internship?

No. The summer 2026 program ran from mid-June to early August 2026 and is over. The open door is summer 2027: audit, tax and client advisory services internships have been posted since August 27, 2026, run June 21 to August 13, 2027, and are open until filled, so apply as soon as you can.

When do Clark Nuber internship applications open for summer 2027?

They're already open. Clark Nuber posted its three summer 2027 internships on August 27, 2026, about 10 months before the June 21, 2027 start. For summer 2028, expect postings between July and late August 2027; last cycle's postings were up by mid-July, so the exact week moves from year to year.

Does Clark Nuber hire interns on a rolling basis?

Yes. Each summer 2027 posting says the position is open until filled, and none states a deadline or a review date. That means a posting can close as soon as its seats are offered. The firm doesn't publish its class size, so the safest plan is to apply in the first week.

How much do Clark Nuber interns get paid?

The three summer 2027 postings list a pay range of $28.57 to $42.77 an hour. The firm doesn't say where in that range interns start, so don't read the top figure as typical. Last cycle's summer 2026 tax posting listed $25.86 to $38.79. Housing and relocation aren't mentioned in the postings.

What GPA do you need for a Clark Nuber internship?

None is published. The summer 2027 postings name no GPA floor and no class year. They ask for students who plan to pursue the CPA license, prefer accounting majors while considering others, and want strong written and oral communication. The firm adds that it may consider equivalent knowledge, skills, education and experience.

Does Clark Nuber sponsor international students?

No. Every summer 2027 posting says you must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment sponsorship now or in the future, and that the firm can't support the OPT training visa or any visa that will later need sponsorship. Check this before you spend time on an application.

What is the Clark Nuber interview process like?

According to the firm's student FAQ, it starts with an interview with a member of the HR recruiting team. You'll then likely have one or two more interviews, each with two people representing HR and the team you'd join. You apply on the firm's own site with a resume and a cover letter.

Do Clark Nuber interns get full-time offers?

Clark Nuber doesn't publish a conversion rate. Its postings call the internship a window into your future career, and its campus page says associates can be hired without a prior internship once they're CPA eligible. Two entry-level associate postings are live now: audit, starting June or October 2027, and tax, starting January 2027.

Clark Nuber's summer 2027 internships are open until filled, so apply this week. Then build a project you can talk about in the interviews: a remote Externship gives you finished financial modeling or data analysis work to point to.
