If you search Amcor's job board this fall for a summer 2027 internship, you won't find one, and that's normal. Last cycle Amcor posted its US summer 2026 intern roles between late March and mid April 2026, roughly two months before they started. What's open right now is different: on 3 October 2026 Amcor's board listed 11 US intern and co-op requisitions, led by three 2027 engineering co-ops in Wisconsin's Fox Valley that run either January to August or May to December 2027, plus part-time school-year internships in business intelligence, audit, plant engineering and safety.
In plain words: engineering students can apply for a 2027 co-op now, and summer-only students should expect summer 2027 internships to post around March to April 2027. What Is an Amcor Internship?
An Amcor internship is a paid, hands-on role at one of Amcor's US plants, innovation centers or division offices, hired req by req rather than through a branded national program. The longest are the engineering co-ops: about eight months on manufacturing problems, where Amcor says "past students have worked to install new capital equipment, identify the route cause for defects, and created substantial cost savings through waste initiatives."
The rest are school-year and plant internships for students who live nearby. Business intelligence interns in Oshkosh build supply chain reports in Power BI and Excel. Audit interns run SOX 404 and IT controls work with a senior auditor. Plant interns in Evansville and Millville support safety, tooling and continuous improvement projects. Most roles sit in Amcor Flexibles' Wisconsin hub around Neenah and Oshkosh. Amcor completed its all-stock combination with Berry Global on 30 April 2025, so former Berry sites now recruit on Amcor's board too.
When Do Amcor Internship Applications Open for 2027–2028?
Amcor's US internships follow two calendars. Engineering co-ops for 2027 posted on 11 September 2026, four to eight months before their January or May starts, and they're open now. Summer internships post much later: last cycle the summer 2026 Marketing & Product Line, Business Intelligence and Product Line Management intern roles went up between 25 March and 16 April 2026, about two months before a June start, and we confirmed on Amcor's own job system that those reqs existed and then closed. That's one cycle of evidence, so treat the projection as low confidence: applications for summer 2027 internships are expected around late March to mid April 2027.
Summer 2027 internships aren't open yet. What is open: three 2027 engineering co-ops in Neenah and Oshkosh, part-time internships in business intelligence, audit, safety and tooling, and a plant engineering internship in Millville, NJ posted on 2 October.
Co-op applications roll with no stated close. The January 2027 term starts first, so those seats are the ones most likely to fill this fall.
January to August 2027 co-op terms begin. School-year interns who started this fall keep working part time through spring.

Summer interns start around June (exact dates not published) alongside co-ops already on site. Amcor doesn't publish a conversion rate, but new-grad rotational programs in finance and engineering post on the same board.

Why You Must Apply the Week Applications Open
Amcor's summer internships appear to run on a short window. Last cycle they posted between late March and mid April for a June start, which leaves only weeks between a req going live and the team needing an answer. A student who checks the board in May will likely find nothing. Set a job alert on Amcor's Workday board in early March 2027 and apply the week a summer role appears.
For engineering students the timing is the other way round. The 2027 co-ops are live now with no closing date, and the January term has to be filled before the year ends. If a co-op fits your degree plan, apply this fall instead of waiting for spring.

What Are the Eligibility Requirements?
Amcor's requirements are set per req, and most are about your major and whether you can be on site:
• Co-ops: "Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science)", with Industrial also listed on the R&D co-op.
• Audit internships: an accounting major in progress and junior or senior status.
• Business intelligence: pursuing a bachelor's (business or technology preferred), intermediate to advanced Excel, and on site in Oshkosh for 20 to 40 hours a week, with no relocation help.
• Work authorization: no intern req mentions sponsorship either way; all say Amcor verifies employment authorization through E-Verify.
• GPA: not stated on any of the 11 reqs.
Can You Intern at Amcor During the School Year?
Yes, and that's where most of Amcor's current openings are. The business intelligence, audit, safety and tooling internships are part time and on site, so they suit students at nearby schools: Oshkosh and the Fox Valley for the Wisconsin roles, Evansville for the Indiana plant and southern New Jersey for Millville. If you're local, these are the quickest way in, and they can lead into a summer role or one of Amcor's new-grad rotational programs.

What Is the Amcor Application and Interview Process Like?
Amcor doesn't publish an intern interview process, so this is what the reqs and the board show:
1. Find the req. Search Amcor's Workday board for "intern" and "co-op" and check the location: most roles are plant-specific and on site.
2. Pick your co-op term. Co-op reqs offer January to August or May to December 2027; say which term you can do.

Reddit has no first-hand threads about Amcor internships or co-ops, and only one usable US intern review exists on Indeed, from 2021, so treat it as a single data point.
A US intern in Mundelein, Illinois called Amcor an overall good company that paid competitively and made interns feel welcome, and said managers were flexible about letting people focus on their interests. The one complaint was that some of the technology felt slightly outdated.
How Do You Stand Out for an Amcor Internship or Co-op?
Three moves that fit Amcor's late, local hiring.
First, apply to the co-op now if you're an engineer. It's the only Amcor role tied to 2027 that's open today, and the req's own example projects (installing capital equipment, finding the root cause of defects, cutting waste) tell you which stories to bring.
Second, be local or say why you'll be there. Most Amcor roles are on site in the Fox Valley, Evansville or Millville, and the business intelligence req offers no relocation help. Naming the plant and your plan to get there removes an easy reason to pass.
Third, be ready in March. Summer postings appear roughly two months before start, so have your resume, a short project summary and references set before spring break. Amcor doesn't publish applicant numbers or a conversion rate, but it does run new-grad Finance Rotational and Rotational Engineering programs on the same board, which is where strong interns and co-ops would head next.
