The Project: Voice of the Associate

In this externship, you'll step into the shoes of an Amazon Learning Ambassador — one of the first people new employees meet on the warehouse floor. Your mission? To help them connect better, faster, and more humanely with every new team member.

You’ll dive into real employee reviews from sites like Glassdoor, Indeed, Reddit, and YouTube to uncover why so many new associates burn out or leave before they even hit Day 90. Then, you’ll use persona-based storytelling to design creative, human-centered solutions that address real onboarding challenges.

Whether you're into psychology, HR, communication, or business — this is your chance to bring empathy and strategy to a challenge that truly matters.

What You'll Do

• Analyze public reviews to identify the top challenges new employees face
• Create fictional personas based on real-life associate profiles (e.g., a career switcher, a single parent, a student)
• Map how each challenge uniquely impacts your chosen persona
• Design actionable tools or strategies Learning Ambassadors can use
• Present your findings and solutions in a final pitch deck to Amazon mentors
