In this externship program, students will learn strategic consulting skills to analyze and evaluate challenges from non-profit organizations using consulting frameworks, in an overall effort to help them solve their important problems. Selected individuals will be paired with a specific non-profit organization and dive into their strategic problems, such as development, impact assessment, process improvements, talent engagement, communication, and strategic positioning. Throughout this externship program, professionals from PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) will provide mentorship and coaching.
In this remote 8-week experience, you will learn how The Home Depot’s Home Services team supports customers who purchase installation services. You will analyze a stage of the customer journey, uncover the real reasons behind customer friction, and explore how leading brands address similar challenges.
You’ll work with real reviews, transcripts, and industry examples to identify what customers need most and how service workflows could be strengthened. You will also examine where emerging tools, including AI, may help improve clarity, responsiveness, or efficiency — but the core of the externship is understanding the customer and building strong analytical and communication skills.
