A TruBridge externship in healthcare data analytics focused on working with public datasets, statistical modeling, and interactive dashboards.
During my externship with TruBridge, I explored the intersection of healthcare and data analytics. I analyzed real healthcare data to identify patterns, utilized AI to improve decision-making processes, and created interactive dashboards. This experience sharpened my skills in statistical modeling and trend analysis, equipping me with insights that drive healthcare outcomes.
I identified and documented public data sources suitable for linking housing instability and health at the census-tract level, naming CDC PLACES and the NYC DHS Homeless Shelter Census and outlining relevant variables from each.
I reviewed CDC PLACES and ACS data, applied the dataset fitness checklist, and committed to joining CDC PLACES with ACS via census tract GEOID for NYC. The submission recorded that CDC PLACES met all fitness criteria and ACS supported SDOH variables.
