A six-week externship with the Center for Improving Youth Justice focused on turning curated juvenile-justice datasets into publication-quality visualizations using Flourish and Canva.
Overview
I transformed youth justice data into compelling visual narratives aimed at influencing evidence-based policy and improving outcomes for incarcerated youth. Over six weeks with the Center for Improving Youth Justice, I utilized curated datasets to create interactive and publication-quality visualizations using Flourish and Canva, intended for real-world applications in advocacy and policy
What I've accomplished
I built a publication-ready Canva slide that visualized comparative land and building value, and a Flourish stacked area story that visualized monthly traffic by channel and revealed a December spike in social media referrals.
