The externship examined methods for discovering and evaluating early-stage tech startups, covering market analysis, due diligence, and investment memo preparation. The work combined thesis development with applied research and produced written analyses and screening criteria.
I sourced three early-stage startups using AI and platform searches, recorded key data and fit notes in a spreadsheet, and produced a ranked shortlist for follow-up due diligence.
Faced with the module task to find three thesis-fit startups, I used AI and online search stacks to compile company profiles, funding, team size, industries and links. I produced a shared spreadsheet listing Natrx, Vitro3D, and Decagon AI.
