The externship exercised offensive and defensive techniques against a simulated IoT deployment for a marina environment. The work catalogued device interactions, attack surfaces, and implemented standard controls such as TLS and mTLS where applicable. Deliverables included an adversary-style assessment and a security playbook of recommended mitigations.

I worked through a hands-on sequence: first mapping the system, then enumerating vulnerabilities, executing attacks, and finally implementing network and device-level defenses and documentation.
