A Breaking Games externship focused on analyzing e-commerce and marketing datasets to understand purchase behavior and conversion funnels.
The externship analyzed real marketing and e-commerce data from Breaking Games to trace customer journeys and identify conversion patterns. The work combined datasets from analytics, advertising, and storefront signals to map where shoppers dropped off and which touchpoints preceded purchases. Deliverables reconstructed user flows and highlighted measurable findings from the raw data.
I mapped a first-person buying journey for athletic wear, documented actions and emotions at each funnel stage, and identified that fast delivery, high reviews, and discounts drove the purchase decisions recorded in the dataset.
I described my buying journey for active wear, mapped actions at awareness, consideration, conversion and retention, recorded feelings and what worked, and produced a spreadsheet that listed each funnel stage with the observed triggers and outcomes.
