I'm a final-year Computer Science student at Aston University, and I've made the most of my time exploring opportunities beyond the classroom. From leading society events and working in digital marketing to completing data analytics internships and externships, I've enjoyed gaining experience in different environments. Recently, I've been working on projects involving customer churn, people analytics and an AI-powered game. Overview

The externship examined turnover among new hires in Amazon fulfillment centers, combining web-scraped employee reviews with people-analytics methods. The work mapped operational practices that shape worker experience and produced persona-driven findings and recommendations. Deliverables included scraped review datasets, analytic notes, and persona frameworks.

What I've accomplished

I produced a role-by-role workforce map in CSV format that documented key fulfillment-center positions, their responsibilities, coordination partners, typical tools and systems, and role-specific notes.

Project breakdown

The task required mapping FC roles. I listed key positions, described main responsibilities, who they coordinated with, why each role mattered, common tools/systems used, and added notes. The submission produced a role-by-role CSV-style workforce map.

During the project I collected Glassdoor reviews and YouTube transcripts, cleaned and removed redundant columns, standardized fields with Pandas in Colab, and exported the finalized CSV and spreadsheet for analysis.

I prepared YouTube transcripts for analysis by removing punctuation, normalizing case, and extracting cleaned_transcript entries. The deliverable was a spreadsheet mapping raw transcripts to cleaned text for keyword and sentiment work.

During the externship I selected Scheduling, Overtime & Breaks as the priority theme, ran a 5 Whys analysis to probe causes behind fatigue and long shifts, and produced a root cause tree linking staffing, forecasting, workload targets, and feedback loops.
