The externship examined an operational IoT installation at a marina and the device ecosystem supporting it. The work mapped device interactions, identified protocol and configuration risks, and implemented defensive controls and mitigations. Deliverables included an attack catalogue, vulnerability analysis, and a set of hardening recommendations.
I worked directly with the provided IoT topology and device documentation to understand the deployment, map its communication flows, and identify initial areas of exposure before conducting targeted tests.
